💫 Foundation Training Morning - 13th June 💫

This training morning focuses on foundation level gundog exercises.
We will be working on obedience essentials including heel, recall and stop whistle.
We will also work on retrieves, improving confidence and ability over a variety of terrain and obstacles.
We will also look at some foundation level hunting exercises.

To participate in this day your dog must:
- Have reliable recall, or be on a long line.
- Have an interest in retrieving, but dogs with delivery issues are welcome.

All exercises can be made easier and harder as needed. If you’re unsure on the level please ask.

The morning includes ~3 hours of training and a break.

This is perfect for you if you have done / are doing the Foundation Gundog Course ❗️

Up and Over Obstacles training day 💫

What a fantastic day we had yesterday!

We started the day discussing what obstacles we may experience when training or working our gundogs, and how each obstacle may need to be tackled differently.

Throughout the day the dogs and handlers learned how to approach undulating terrain, fences, walls, ditches, long grass, water, and even going under fences through a ditch!

Huge well done to all the handlers and dogs, you were awesome 🤩

✨ Foundation Gundog Course - starting 23rd June ✨

This progressive 6 session course will introduce you to all of the foundations of gundog training.

The course sessions are every two weeks so that you have plenty of time to practice each new element before the next session. This helps you really absorb and practice the learning before moving on to the next steps.

The course will cover:
Recall
Heelwork
Sit
Whistle commands
Steadiness
Hunting
Retrieving.

This is the perfect way for complete beginners to try gundog training and learn new skills.

Includes starter pack from Field and Fireside and completion pack from Riverside Animal Supplies.

This is the perfect course for you if:
• You have attended a different course with us and want to put your learning into practice.
• You want to improve your dogs general obedience level.
• You want to have fun with your dog.
• You want to learn breed-specific ways to fulfil your dog.
• You want to train your dog in a safe, inclusive environment.
• You want honest advice and help with your dog.

Requirements for the Foundation Gundog Course:
Dog age: 6 months plus.
Dog training level: no previous training required.
Aggression: aggressive / reactive dogs not allowed.
Noise: dog should not be noisy (barking / whining) in a group environment.
Medical: dogs with injuries / illnesses or those in season should not attend.
Client status: new clients welcome.
