When the bath is too damn comfy.. you just got to get back into after you’re nice and dry, and have a snooze waiting for mum 😴😴

As we are set to experience rising temperatures again, I am rejiggling the diary for next week and potentially the week after.. I will be keeping a close eye on the weather.
Therefore, my morning grooms will be starting at 7am, and trying to move one of my afternoon appts to this time, or rearranging, whatever is more convenient.
Thank you again for your support and patience, and for your understanding that this is solely for your dogs welfare.

I’ve been lucky enough that all my lovely clients have been so accommodating by either coming earlier in the morning, or agreeing to be rescheduled.. all with the purpose of their dogs welfare.
Not every groomer has been so lucky 🐾

Please be kind to your dog groomer during the heatwave ☀️

I am so fortunate to have incredible clients who have completely understood my need to reschedule some appointments this week due to the heatwave. But as I've been browsing on social media, that's not been the case with every dog groomer in the UK. Groomers have been yelled at, guilt tripped and people have even refused to be rescheduled and have expected to still be seen.

I'd like to remind every pet owner that us dog groomers have duty of care over our dog clients. If we have made the decision to reschedule your appointment for safety, that's precisely why we've done it. It's not so we can just go sit on the beach with a Pimms in our hand, it's to protect your dog (and ourselves) from heat stroke! Not all of us have the luxury of aircon, and with the dryers running all day IT GETS HOT!

And I can promise you, yelling at a dog groomer when they can't fit your dog in the same day isn't going to make them help you any more. Keeping your dog on a regular schedule all year round prevents them getting really overgrown, which in turn will help when the weather gets as hot as it has been this week. ☀️

Due to the extreme temperatures forecast throughout the week, I have made the decision to close the salon at around midday each day for their welfare.

To help accommodate as many dogs as possible, I will be opening from 7am every morning and will be contacting all afternoon clients to shuffle or rearrange appts.

The safety and welfare of your dogs must always come first. During weather like this, temperatures inside the salon can exceed 40°C when the dryers are running, making it unsafe for the dogs and for me and my menopause!

Thank you for your understanding 🌞🌞
