Important info from vets4pets!

Where possible, don't walk your dogs to their appointment. The pavement is too hot for their paws.

And quite possibly the most important one, DOGS DIE IN HOT CARS!!! Don't leave your dogs in parked cars!

Price increase from 1st June 2026

There will be a small price increase of £3 on all grooming appointments/ all nail trims will be £5 from Monday 1st June 2026.
Over the past year, the cost of shampoos, equipment, utilities and everyday salon essentials has continued to rise. I've done my best to keep prices the same for as long as possible and this adjustment ensures I can continue to groom all your doggies.
I truly appreciate your continued support, loyalty, and understanding. It means the world to my small business.
Although my prices are increasing, I try to be affordable as I can for you all. I hope you can understand my need to do this.

Please try and show up on time for all appointments and let me know if you need to cancel with atleast 48hrs notice. I know life gets in the way sometimes and it can't be avoided but please give me as much notice as you can, thank you.

It's that time of year again where we see nasty little fleas.
Please check your dogs regularly for fleas and keep on top of treatment.
Please cancel your appointment if you know your dog has fleas. If we find them mid groom, we have to send your dog home, cancel the others and clean and treat the salon resulting in a massive financial loss.
It's so important to make sure your dogs are flea-free before they come to us.
Please seek veterinary advice if you think your dog might have fleas.

Short, Bark 'N' Sides is officially 5 years old!🐾🎉

Yesterday marked a very special milestone for me. All of the puppy first grooms, my regular dogs, my older doggies, one eyed dogs, three legged dogs, nail trims and a couple of cats along the way- you all mean so much to me and I wouldn't be what I am today if I didn't get to meet you all.

I'm so grateful for every single one of you who has supported me and I want to say a massive THANK YOU to all my amazing clients- both two and four-legged! I truly appreciate every single one of you.

I've put blood, sweat and tears (literally)😅 into my business and its not been an easy ride but you've made it all possible by supporting and putting your trust in me. It's stressful at times (I found my first grey hair last week at 24😬) but it's extremely rewarding knowing I get to make the dogs of Burscough look and feel good😎

Again, thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart for helping me to get to 5 years in business❤️

Thank you all so much for our gifts, chocolates, wine and tips! It means so much and we appreciate it more than you all know. We've definitely felt the love❤️

As this year comes to an end, we remember all the dogs we've had the pleasure of pampering who are no longer with us💔

We'll be back on the 2nd of January fully recharged and ready!✂️
