This is Dele Alli (or as I call him, Dele Aldi) because he's always hanging around Aldi in Lees, Oldham. That's my local supermarket and I used to see Dele all the time and stop to have a chat with him.

He's been missing since last Wednesday. Maybe he's gotten into a shed, garage, or even a van? If the latter, he could be anywhere...
.. That's why I'm sharing with my followers. Please keep eyes and ears peeled for any sightings of ginger and white cats who could be Dele. 🧡🤍 He must be so scared wherever he is 🥺

We've seen a real influx of fleas this year due to the heatwave significantly speeding up their life cycle. Even indoor cats can pick fleas up from eggs brought into the home on clothes and shoes.

Myself and my staff have suffered bites, which are uncomfortable and could lead to secondary infection. Therefore we've had to implement a policy to protect ourselves, our homes, and the other animals & houses we visit.

🚨 If we find live fleas, flea dirt, or staff receive flea bites during our visits, we will let you know and will switch to basic pop-in visits only (feeding, water & litter). No refund will be given for the reduced visit length.

❌ We will not treat the cats or the property. You will be asked to arrange professional treatment through your emergency contact if you cannot come home.

🏠 Full visits will only resume once professional pest control has attended. A supermarket can of flea spray doesn't count! We will ask for proof!

🐱 Cats must be treated and kept up to date with effective veterinary strength flea treatment. We recommend options such as Advantage, Advocate or Seresto. Supermarket treatments are generally milder and focused on prevention. They will not cure a heavy, active infestation.

📋 This will become part of our ongoing booking terms and conditions and by booking with us, you agree to these terms. This will be circulated to all clients in the coming weeks.

I am sure most clients will understand and appreciate the importance of this, and if not, we may not be the cat sitters for you.

Please help us keep the fleas out of our homes, our clients homes and off our staff and the pets we visit!

Volunteers desperately needed ❤️

Our rescue is incredibly busy, and right now we are short of volunteers across almost every area of the rescue. Our animals rely on our wonderful volunteer team every single day, and we really need some extra helping hands. 🐷🐐🐑🐔🦆🦔🦊

⏰Our main volunteer hours are between 9am–1pm daily, and this is when we aim to get all the essential jobs done — feeding, cleaning, caring for the animals and making sure everyone is happy and healthy.

If you’ve ever thought about volunteering but weren’t sure when we needed people, here’s where we’re currently short:

🐾 MONDAY
We need volunteers in the wildlife hospital and with our outside large animals, including — sheep, goats, pigs and chickens.

🐾 TUESDAY
We need help with ferrets, small birds aviaries , and the wildlife hospital.

🐾 WEDNESDAY
We’re short of people across all our outside areas, including both small and large animals.

🐾 THURSDAY
We need volunteers for the small bird aviaries and the wildlife hospital

🐾 FRIDAY
We’re short of people across all our outside areas, including both small and large animals and the wildlife hospital

🐾 SATURDAY
We need help with the large animals, and the wildlife hospital

🐾 SUNDAY
We are short everywhere! 😢
Large animals, small animals and the wildlife hospital all need volunteers.

💚 You don't have to be an animal expert.
You don't need to know everything before you start — we'll show you what to do. What matters most is that you’re reliable, caring and willing to get stuck in.

Volunteering can be incredibly rewarding, and you'll be helping us provide the care, cleaning, feeding, love and attention that our animals need every single day. 🥰

Even one regular morning a week, from 9am–1pm, could make a huge difference to us and to the animals in our care. ❤️

📣 𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘:

From October, we’re introducing a few changes to our visit times.

Our arrival windows for 2-visit-per-day bookings will be:

☀️ AM: 7am–11am
🌙 PM: 3pm–7pm

We’ll always ensure there is a minimum of 6 hours between visits.

For 1-visit-per-day bookings, arrival may be slightly before or after these windows as we fit these visits around our 2-visit-per-day bookings.

We’re making this change to give our team a more sustainable working day, with proper time between shifts. ❤️

🗓️ 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄𝘀

To help us manage capacity:

🐾 Key clients: 12 months ahead
🐾 Existing clients: 9 months ahead
🐾 New clients: 6 months ahead

We’ll be stricter with capacity, but staggering our bookings should help keep things manageable. Remember, our availability can always be found on our website at www.thecatcareco.com/availability.

A big hello to Blue, Mono, Oreo & Suki, who are being looked after by Dani at the moment 😻

As they have a cat flap, you never quite know who you're going to see when you arrive, and there's often a few cats off doing their own thing.
However, little Suki is still too young to head outside, so she gets some extra playtime and plenty of attention indoors. 🥰 Isn't she adorable? 🥺

Dani has been looking after someone a little different recently....

Bubbles is a beautiful axolotl who is very well loved by her young owner, who absolutely adores her! Her bedroom is full of axolotl drawings, teddies and accessories, and she’s done lots of research into the science behind these fascinating little creatures. 🥹

Axolotls have become a very popular pet (partly thanks to Minecraft) but they aren't necessarily an easy pet for a young child. They have very specific care requirements, need very cold, clean water, and can grow surprisingly large. Bubbles is lucky to have an owner who has taken the time to learn exactly what she needs and makes sure she's well cared for. ❤️

We're caring for new client Bonnie at the moment ❤️ She's known to be a shy girl who has a little safe corner underneath the kitchen units where she likes to hide.

Luckily, Bonnie has really started to come out of her shell with Dani, and she's been enjoying lap cuddles on the sofa, something we certainly didn't expect from this initially very shy girl! 🥹❤️

It's lovely to see her feeling safe and comfortable enough to relax and enjoy some fuss.

New clients Bella and Elliot are gorgeous RSPCA rescue cats with a lovely story. ❤️

Elliot was originally taken in as a foster cat by his human, but it wasn't long before he became a classic foster fail and his dad decided he was staying for good! 😻

Bella was also rescued from the RSPCA as a friend for Elliot, and they hit it off immediately. 🥰 They're both a little unsure of strangers, so we're taking things slowly and letting them get to know us at their own pace ❤️
