I’ve just remembered that 3 years ago today I went self employed and started my dog behaviour and training business! 🥳

During this period I have:

Supported many incredible clients and their dogs 🥰 (the best and most important part of what I do).

Networked and made professional connections in the Greater Manchester area.

Been a finalist in the 2024 Oldham Business Awards for small business of the year.

Been on Oldham Community Radio as their guest expert for all things dog training and behaviour. 📻

Passed the knowledge and understanding part of the Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB) assessment process (APEL) making me a provisional CAB. This was the scariest challenge!!

The practical CAB assessment comes next and I’m working hard behind the scenes for this 💪🏻😮‍💨

I’m looking forward to supporting more caring and committed people with their dogs so that things become easier for them 🥰

And I’m excited for the future of the business!

I’m currently away on holiday in Pembrokeshire with my family. 🌊 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I think Fig and Aria are totally in their element with a private field to explore!!

I will be answering emails and messages on my return on Thursday next week.

Coming home from holiday is always sad….but life is good when you return to work and get to see these gorgeous cuties for their 121 session and initial consultation 🥰

I also saw Bandit (standard poodle) for his 121 yesterday, but I forgot to get a photo of him 😭🥺. I’m terrible at remembering to take photos/videos 🙈

Don’t worry Bandit, I’ll make sure to get a pic of you and showcase your beautiful face on here too! 😗

I’m currently on holiday in Skiathos and I couldn’t resist visiting Skiathos Dog Shelter.

This is little Nelly and she preferred cuddles instead of going for a walk 🥹🥰

I was glad to hear that she is being adopted along with her little pal.

Today’s 121 sessions 💙🩷

Ziggy - we worked on his settle in the beer garden, and Ziggy managed this beautifully! Even when people were moving around nearby - something he used to struggle with. His mum and I enjoyed a light refreshment in peace 😎 🐾

Willow - although we were working on lead skills and calm behaviour around dogs - (which she aced!), Willow decided that she wanted to investigate the pool in her garden 💦 🐶 🤣

🚩 Is your dog's behaviour telling you something?

Sometimes barking, reactivity, anxiety, or sudden behaviour changes aren't simply training issues.

Handsome Nano ❤️

I’ve been supporting Nano and his family, and teaching strategies that enable him to learn to keep his cool in situations that cause him to become overwhelmed.

His owner said he has been doing brilliantly and is managing to be more relaxed on walks, at work and at home 👏👏

I look forward to continuing to support Nano and his family so that things continue to become more manageable 🥰
