Animal Acupuncture

At the end of February, I was contacted by the owners of this handsome chap, Norman. They were worried his quality of life had taken a dramatic downturn and feared they might have to consider euthanasia, as his spark seemed to have faded.

Norman has lived with an elbow deformity his entire life, but he’s always coped remarkably well, such a little trooper. Recently, though, he had started falling over, and the legs that had spent years compensating were beginning to struggle.
We reviewed his medication plan and supportive therapies, and decided to introduce acupuncture alongside his pain relief.

Within 24 hours, he was back to his usual happy self, greeting everyone with his favourite soft toy. Since then, he’s been having acupuncture every week or so, and each session gives him another boost.

We’re keeping everything crossed that this continues for a long time yet, he truly is such a social, special character. 💛

Mobile veterinary acupuncture promoting comfort and quality of life for pets of Stamford and Rutland

22/08/2023

I am delighted to announce that from October I will be accepting new acupuncture clients. Sessions are held in a relaxed setting at my home in Stretton, perfect for pets that want to avoid the vets. I mainly treat dogs with musculoskeletal issues ranging from osteoarthritis to acute injuries but have also treated cats and horses.

Initial consultation lasts 45 minutes and is £60. Your pet will receive a full examination and we will discuss what problems they are experiencing. During this sessions we will talk about what you can expect from acupuncture, recommended frequency and how you can expect it to help your pet. We will also discuss other ways to alleviate your pet’s symptoms.

Sessions thereafter last 30 minutes and cost £50. Each session is catered to the individual animal to maximise their response. The needles are tiny and are very well tolerated. Response varies greatly from animal to animal, some of the patients I have treated have seen such positive results that they have been able to come off pain relief altogether.

Please message me if you’re interested.

I love seeing the improvement that owners see; Titch’s owner kindly sent me this amazing video of Titch loving life back to her old crazy ways! Considering she could barely walk when she first saw me it’s lovely to see her running flat out. She’s continuing to do great and loves her acupuncture sessions!

Titch was struggling to even walk before coming to see us and her owner was getting worried about her deteriorating quality of life. She kindly sent these fab photos of Titch running around with a renewed zest for life after just 2 acupuncture sessions! We’re over the moon she’s responded so well to treatment.
