Nelson has a new found love of cardboard boxes ! Just to remind everyone, Nelson does not live here alone in a cage at the practice. He lives with our Receptionist, Chris where he has free roam and a loving family to provide him with all the love, stimulation and freedom that a Parrot needs and deserves. Have a FUN FRIDAY everyone ! 👑

Two red spaniels - unrelated and from completely different homes, decided to eat entirely inappropriate items namely a conker and a maize cob respectively ! Obviously, these items were not able to pass the, erm, natural way and so we had to unzip them and remove the offending item(s), on the same day !
We were holding our breath for a third but thankfully, no more red spaniels appeared on the day !😀
Seriously, foreign body ingestion is potentially fatal if left untreated. Thankfully, both owners were on the ball and sought help immediately.
We are delighted to report that full recoveries are expected. As you can see, one is raring to go, few more days recovery yet before you can play ball ! 👑

If you smoke please extinguish ci******es in your own vehicle and take them away with you.
And, we appreciate dogs may foul the car park..but please ask for a bag if you don't have one. There are bins at the end of the car park.
Thank you. 👑

Senior cats - did you know that cats are considered Senior at around just 8 years old. ? Years ago, cats averaged around 10-12 years old but due to greater understanding of diets and healthcare, it is not at all unusual to see cats live well into their teens and beyond,. This doesn't always come without some health issues but luckily we can manage a lot of age related conditions relatively simply. We will explore more in our website blogs, but, one of the best ways to help older kidneys is to make sure they are on a Senior diet. 😸😸😸😸
Most commercial pet foods offer a Senior option. Even the supermarket own brands have foods formulated for Seniors or Over 7...so if you have a cat around 7-8 years old it is well worth making the switch whatever food you use. 👑
