The retriever section had a mock working test today. We are very appreciative of Clare Robinson of Robinsfield Groomers for allowing us to use her paddock. We are also very grateful to Bob Seaman and Henry Carney for giving up thier Bank Holiday Monday to be our judges. They even gave us a demonstration of training techniques at the end.
The weather was kind to us and everyone learned something and enjoyed themselves.
I am proud to announce the winners as:
1st place: Di Bray with Indie
2nd place: Jamie Cooper with Waffle
3rd place: Anne Kitching with Clara
4th place: Sean Jones with Zara
5th place: Tricia Carrington-Howell with Bunty
Well done all!

We also took the opportunity to present rosettes to those who have recently passed our grade awards.

Well - what a weekend for NDTC retriever handlers. On Saturday Jamie Cooper with Waffle and Tricia Carrington-howell were placed 3rd and 4th respectively at the East Midland NDNH test. Huge congratulations to you both.
Then the next day Tricia proved how consistent she is by winning the Cotswold & Wyevern Labrador Retriever Club NDNH test. A fantastic achievement for a newcomer to the sport. Even huger congratulations Tricia 🎊 . Onward and upward to Novice!

Rockorigin Oakley handled by Gill achieved a COM in the recent AA walked up test on field trial lines run by Coventry and District Gundog Society. It was a tough field and they kept it together in tough, hot conditions.

Mylo (Buzzbrook Eagle) was recently awarded a certificate of merit at a novice working test at Bagots Park. He was the oldest dog in the novice class by a country mile! He will be 8 next month and started his gundog competition journey at NDTC in Spring 2019 when Damon was running the sessions.
Well done Ian Chapman and Mylo. As the saying goes: Age and treachery will overcome youthful skill 😅.
