I know dirty laundry is for the laundrette, but I’m feeling really upset this morning and just wanted to say something.
Just because you’re my friend or family doesn’t mean that my business rules don’t apply to you. I’m a young woman trying to make a living, pay my bills, put food on the table and look after my two dogs — which, as many of you know, hasn’t exactly been easy over the last few weeks either.
When I say that I have a 48-hour cancellation policy, I don’t say it just to make myself look professional. I say it because I genuinely need 48 hours’ notice to have a chance of booking someone else in and filling your appointment slot, so I can still earn the money I was expecting to earn.
I do charge the full price when an appointment is cancelled without the required notice, unless, of course, you are genuinely in a situation where the cancellation is completely out of your control. I will always use my best judgement and take individual circumstances into consideration.
Please remember that this isn’t personal, and I’m not trying to be difficult or unfair. This is my livelihood. When an appointment is cancelled last minute, that’s money I was relying on to pay my bills and run my business.
I appreciate every single person who supports me, but please respect my time and my business policies in the same way you would any other business. Because hearing "as a friend this is crazy" because I've asked for not even full price off a friend for their cancellation has truly made me wonder how and why so many friends take advantage of their friends buisness's ☹️
Because of this I will no longer be offering deals or discounts on any friends or family. I hope you guys can support me at my highest and most busiest just as you did when I first started and was just building my buisness
Thank you 😩❤️
