It was a late night of negotiations at Volucris but we’re very pleased to say that Charlie has signed his first Sponsorship Contract. Arrangements are now taking place for September’s Launch of Charlie and ……………….

Charlie’s getting ready for the start of his Field Trial Preparation on the Premium Training Grounds of Thoresby Estate.
Charlie will be trained entirely at our grounds in Pinxton and Thoresby.

Here we have Riley completing two bank to bank retrieves with a third dummy landing on the water as he swims back. The dummy landing on water simulates a bird being shot whilst Riley is on a retrieve. Our aim is for him not to swap dummies/birds when retrieving.

Introducing Cola
At 16 months of age, Cola came 2nd in her first Open Working Test.
After 3 further Opens where she also gained a 3rd, Jo, her owner and I decided that it was time to focus on our long term training goal of Trials.

Now 20 months old, Cola begins her Trial Training at our grounds on Thoresby Estate.

Cola’s been in the Volucris Training system from a Puppy and we’re looking forward to the next stage of her training journey.

Cola’s training is a full team effort and Jo, Steve and I will endeavour to make her Trial Introduction as successful as Working Tests.
