Your reactive dog doesn’t need

endless treats
or someone trying to dominate them

They need skills and guidance.
And someone who understands what’s actually going on.

That’s the difference between “managing” behaviour… and genuinely changing it.

Hear me out…

Avoiding everything is not the answer to all of your problems

BUT you just can’t beat a quiet woodland walk where you know you’re not gonna bump into a single soul

No scanning
No “what’s coming round the corner”

Just space and time for you and your dog to move together

It’s not a solution but sometimes it’s exactly what you both need

If you’re constantly training your dog around triggers, here’s your sign to decompress and go for a nice quiet walk with f*ck all training

If you’re a girlie with a daxie that turned out to be a feral demon… you’re not alone 🫠

Turns out “small” doesn’t mean easier 🤷🏻‍♀️

They’re clever, chaotic and fully convinced they run the household (because… they probably do)

If you’re struggling with your daxie, you’re in the right place. I help owners who’ve got a dog that barks at anything and everything and would abandon you mid-walk the second a squirrel appears 😂

Follow for relatable daxie content + tips for a less chaotic life with them 💘

Ps I WISH this was mud 😭
This was actually manure 😅

Most people get dachshunds because they are cute…

And they are
But they are also a lil ball of chaos and destruction which is the best part🤣

If you’re not properly walking and fulfilling your dachshund, you’re missing out on so much dog…
And so much fun!!!

Getting Sully off lead is where his life completely changed

Sully was never meant to stay restricted to a 10m long line for the rest of his life and honestly, I think he agrees 🤷🏻‍♀️ ^^

What do you think? Comment below ☺️

*pls don’t ditch the long line until recall is solid (which I can help with😏)

As most of you will have seen…. I rescued a Chihuahua!!!

Coco is 2 and has been rescued from a home that didn’t walk her or let her out in the garden. First on agenda was ditching the puppy pads and toilet training her which only took a few days (and the removal of a few rugs🤦🏻‍♀️).

We gradually increased her exercise, got her off lead as quick as possible and focused on building a bond and having fun together, as a now 2 dog household. I’ll be posting more about her training journey and progression so if there’s anything you want to see more of, drop me a comment below ☺️🤍

Can different dogs of different sizes be friends???

Balanced energy ☮️
Do both dogs have calm, confident and balanced energy? You want them to be able to exist peacefully alongside each other with no tension or forced interactions.

Control ✋
Do you have reliable control over both dogs? Being able to interrupt or prevent play altogether is especially important with big + small pairings.

Play styles ⚖️
Big and small dogs often have totally different energy levels, physical capabilities and play styles.
For example, Dobby the Dobermann is an energetic, adolescent intact male and Sully the Sausage struggled with high arousal levels and also lives with chronic pain. Both of them might want to play but it’s up to us to decide if that’s suitable and safe, especially when they’re young and more likely to get a bit silly 🤪

Body language & advocacy 🤝
Can your dog read social cues and just as importantly, can you? Look for soft, loose movement, mutual pauses and equal give + take. Understanding body language is key to knowing when to step in, set boundaries and advocate for your dog.

My take 💭
Personally, I’ll only have my small pups around dogs I know they’ll feel comfortable with and owners who know their s**t 😉
