When choosing a dog groomer, what is it you’re looking for?

What you actually get when you choose me a professional groomer is so much more than that. 💜
Behind every groom are thousands of hours of learning, practice and experience, continually developing my skills to make sure I’m providing the best possible groom and service for every dog that walks through my door.
It’s also about keeping everything behind the scenes to the highest standard from making sure all equipment is regularly serviced and maintained, to carefully choosing the best quality products and equipment, so I know your dogs are receiving the very best care.
🐾 A full M.O.T every time
Every dog gets more than just a groom. I check them over from head to tail so I can spot anything that may have changed.
That could be something as simple as removing grass seeds from between their toes or from their armpits, but it can also mean noticing lumps, bumps, skin changes or other abnormalities that you may not have seen at home.
I’ve found numerous lumps during grooming that have subsequently needed veterinary investigation and surgery. Finding these things early can make a huge difference.
And honestly… who else is going to check your dog’s bum? 😂🍑
🐾 Your dog, your style
I’ll always ask you how you’d like your dog styled. If what you’re asking for isn’t achievable because of coat condition, lifestyle or your dog’s welfare, I’ll talk it through with you and work with you to find the closest possible option always putting your dog’s comfort and welfare first.
🐾 Every dog is an individual
There is no “one size fits all” approach when it comes to grooming.
Some dogs are confident, some are nervous, some are wriggly, some need a little more time and patience, and some simply need us to adapt the way we work to make them feel safe.
I take the time to understand each dog and adapt my handling and grooming techniques accordingly. Building trust and a bond with your dog is incredibly important to me.

I work hard to make the salon as calm, relaxed and inviting as possible.
We stay calm, because dogs pick up on our energy. Creating a peaceful environment can help make their grooming experience much more enjoyable and less stressful.
So when you choose me as your dog groomer, you’re not simply paying for a bath, a haircut.
You’re paying for experience, knowledge, ongoing education, quality products and equipment, attention to detail, individual care, patience and, most importantly, someone who genuinely cares about your dog. 💜
