We've begun preparing for brumation, it's earlier than we usually would but the extremely high temperatures in May this year damaged our incubating eggs significantly. As Marissa laid her clutch later than the other girlies, it got caught in the heat and I tried my best to cool them down but overnight and while I was at work they were exposed to temperatures that were too high.

One hatched and immediately just perished, one took a meal and regurgitated it then was found passed away the next day and shockingly one hatched with the scales around it's heart not fused together. You could see the heart beating.

To hopefully avoid this we're going to start our season earlier this year. These guys have been taken off of heat to slowly acclimate to the cooler temperatures that they'll be experiencing, they haven't been fed for the past three weeks. Some others will be joining them later but this is the crew for now ☺️

This little cutie is this year's success story!

Thankfully I only had one baby this year who refused to eat no matter what. In the other pictures she's alongside her brother who eats fantastically and is growing very well and there's just a 🤏 little 🤏 bit of a size difference 😅

So I turned on the trusty cooler and popped her into a slightly warmer than normal brumation for two weeks and what do you know! She's eaten her first few meals voraciously so fingers crossed that's set her down the right path 🤞🤞

Snake chores must still continue though and I caught these two cuties sprouting while I was changing their water bowls 😂🌱

finally reaching a point where the usual routines are settling back into place.

Little Plizabeth is doing amazingly but she was beginning to outgrow her old digs so now she's in the big rack with the others. It's been lovely to see her explore every inch and use all the enrichment

We are all moved into the new place but there's still lots of unpacking to do so here's Maggie who went into shed before...

She is a two year old Madagascan giant hognose

Once everything's sorted there will be some more hatchlings going up but for now the operation is on hold 🙂

These three babies are coming down to Devon with me where their new homes will be picking them up and guys....my lavende...

These three babies are coming down to Devon with me where their new homes will be picking them up and guys....my lavender girlie found her home! 🥹😭

I've been raising her since the 6th June 2025 when she hatched and yeah, I am a little sad to see her go. She's going to a great home though and my customers have been fantastic for updating me on how their babies are doing, I'm sure I'll still be seeing her ☺️

Those who are able to attend the IHS show, enjoy! We'll definitely be there for 2027 😸🥳

Upgrades people, upgrades! 👏👏

I definitely wanted to provide a little bit more alongside the hatchlings this season so now they come with:
🟢 Their ID tag and travel container
🟢 A hatchling tag
🟢 A sticker (these came out so crisp!)
🟢 A small carryable bag to make transporting easier if you're driving alone or travelling by public transport

I'm not able to attend the IHS show this summer as I'll be in Devon from the 7th - 11th. If you're down that end of the country and would like a hognose, check out my MorphMarket and send me a message - a bunch of 2025 babies have been added 😊

We are in the process of moving again so I'm a little bit behind on posts but this is Tammie's second clutch!..yes there is only one, I'll be keeping a very close eye on her next year to see if maybe she's been munching on a couple of eggs 🤨

Looks like we've got a male conda with some crazy hets - 100% het toffeebelly, 100% het caramel, 66% het albino, 50% het axanthic. That's definitely the most I've ever stacked 😆

This is the tiny lavender baby from Marissa's only clutch, she hatched out of a half mouldy egg at 4g compared to her 7g and 8g siblings

I am really pleased to report that she's eaten a couple of meals, I was definitely worried that she'd be too small to take a pinkie but the girl is NOT bogged down by that at all!

In her spare time she's a professional drama queen and flips herself over at literally every opportunity to play dead 🤦‍♀️
