Sutton Bonington Riding Club The best local riding club in the East Midlands! Last year proved to be successful, but let's top it this year!

Sutton Bonington Riding Club has been established for over 20 years, initially being called Hathern Riding Club, but later re-located to Pasture Lane in Sutton Bonington, Leics, and so changing the name to SBRC. Sutton Bonington had many good years at Pasture lane, but started this new decade at a new show ground in Gotham, Notts. Membership can be taken at shows or by sending your filled in membe

All shows are Open to all; members receive discounts from entry fees, and tally up points from wins and placing across all classes for the presentation evening, held in November. Last year's was a wonderful evening, and photographs could be seen in Equestrian Life Magazine! Class prices:

ALL classes (showing, show jumping, working hunter, dressage) £8 per class for non-members, £5 per class for members. Please read rules & regulations before competing at any of our events, as we would hate to have to eliminate anyone due to ignorance of the rules. PONY GRAZING AVAILABLE
• Following the recent sad death of her long-time companion, our sweet-natured retired pony needs a new field-mate.
• We are looking for a field-sharing pony, of a similar sweet nature, preferably no bigger than 13hh, fully vaccinated and regularly wormed/on worm egg counts program, to be visited daily by its owner.
• Our 6-acre field is well hedged, split into paddocks for rotational 24/7/365 grazing, with a large field shelter which converts into 2 stables when the need arises.
• We are in the Long Whatton, NW Leicestershire, area and have off-road parking.
• We are not looking for a loan pony nor a pony to buy.

We need to find 7 people who will be committed to running the SBRC shows next season. You would be required to be available for the day of the show so obviously not wanting to take part yourself. Perhaps you don’t ride anymore but still like to be in the mix of it all.
We really want to get this back up and running again but we can’t do it with the dedication of others. If you are interested in joining us then please message for more details.

So we have decided to put feelers out to see what interest there would be if we were to bring back Sutton Bonington Riding Club. It would be ran as open shows but we would also need volunteers to join the committee. Although it will be much easier as we will not be doing membership. Let us know if you have any interest. It is with great sadness that we have to announce that SBRC will not be running any shows this year. This is due to the lack of volunteers wishing to join the committee. Unfortunately without a committee there is no club.

Also due to the Corona crisis the pending Presentation Evening will not be going ahead. This will be reschedule once all bans have been lifted.

All of this does not sit easily with us but we hope that you understand. We thank you for your support over the years and are still hopeful that SBRC will continue in the future.

YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU!!
Have you ever wanted to be a part of your club. Help is needed to carry on running your club. Unfortunately due to various reasons there have been some committee members that will be standing down after the presentation/AGM. Please get in touch if you feel that you can commit to our wonderful club and help to keep it going for many more years to come. There are various roles that need to be filled before we can run again this year.

ATTENTION
We as a committee have taken the decision to postpone our Presentation Night until the New year (possibly February).
This is due to the devastating news that Jasmine Moseley is undergoing treatment for Leukaemia. We hope that you all support us in this decision. As you may know this does not only affect Jasmine but also our Chairperson Debbie as her mum. This way Debbie can concentrate on Jasmines recovery.
