One of the hardest parts of being a dog walker and pet sitter is that, somewhere along the way, the dogs you care for stop feeling like just clients. You watch them grow, learn their little personalities, their routines, their funny ways and all the things that make them who they are. Without even realising it, they become a part of your life and you grow to love them just as deeply as you would your own. So when the day comes that you have to say goodbye, it’s hurts more than people sometimes realise. Bella was such a sweet, gentle and kind little soul. She had the most beautiful nature and was always so lovely with everyone she met. Knowing her over the years has been such a privilege, and she really was one of those dogs who leaves a lasting impression.Run free, beautiful Bella. You were so very special, and you will never be forgotten. 🐾❤️

🚨 AS A DOG WALKER… GERMAN SHEPHERDS ARE NEVER JUST “A WALK” 😂🐕‍🦺

They’re clever, powerful, inquisitive and ALWAYS keeping you on your toes. One minute we’re calmly sniffing every blade of grass, the next they’ve spotted something 200 metres away that apparently requires their immediate investigation. 😂

But behind that serious German Shepherd face is often the biggest softie with bags of personality. Loyal, goofy, intelligent and an absolute joy to walk. 🤎🐾

Things nobody tells you before becoming a dog walker & pet sitter… 😂🐾

Everyone thinks:
“OMG you literally get paid to walk dogs and cuddle puppies all day!!” 🥹🐶

Correct.

But ALSO…

💩 You will become a professional poo inspector.

🌧️ The weather forecast becomes the most important app on your phone.

🚗 Your car will never be clean again. Accept it.

🐕 You’ll have full conversations with dogs and genuinely expect them to answer.

🧠 You’ll remember 15 dogs’ feeding routines, medication, quirks, triggers and favourite treats…

…but forget why you walked into Tesco.

🦊 You’ll find yourself saying things like:
“PLEASE DON’T ROLL IN THAT.”

Usually 0.3 seconds too late.

📱 Your camera roll will be 98% other people’s dogs.

🧹 You’ll clean up substances that require absolutely NO further explanation.

⏰ Early mornings. Late nights. Weekends. Bank holidays.

🍽️ You’ll organise your own life around everyone else’s dinner and toilet schedules.

👃 You’ll develop the ability to identify something disgusting from approximately 40 metres away.

And personal space?

😂😂😂😂😂

But underneath all the chaos, muddy boots, dog hair, slobber and questionable smells…

There’s a HUGE amount of trust and responsibility behind this job.

These aren’t “just dogs”.

They’re someone’s family. ❤️

And being trusted to care for them is something I’ll never take for granted.

So yes…

I basically get paid to hang out with dogs.

Best. Job. Ever. 🐾❤️

German Shepherds… if you know, you KNOW 😂🐾

They’re funny, dramatic, incredibly intelligent and VERY particular about how they like things done.

They’ll question your decisions, supervise absolutely everything you do, and somehow always know exactly what’s going on. 😂

Personal space? Never heard of it.

Stubborn? Very!
Opinionated? Absolutely.
Protective? Always.
Loyal? On another level. ❤️

They might have their funny little quirks and very specific ways, but once a German Shepherd accepts you into the pack, that loyalty is absolutely top notch.

There really is nothing quite like the bond you have with a Shepherd. 🐾🤎

Just a little note to let everyone know that I’m currently taking some much-needed time off and enjoying a little sunshine. 🌴🥰

I’ll be switching off from work as much as possible, so replies to messages and enquiries may be a little slower than usual. I promise I’m not ignoring anyone! ❤️

I’m honestly so amazed and incredibly grateful for all of your support. ❤️🐾

A huge thank you to each and every one of my amazing clients for booking in with me. I genuinely never imagined my 2027 diary would already be FULL! It means the world to me that you continue to trust me with your wonderful pets.

I do still have a few solo dog walking spaces available on Wednesday mornings, and drop in visits are still available on an ad hoc basis, subject to availability.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting my small business. Every booking, recommendation and kind word has helped me grow, and I honestly couldn’t do it without you. Here’s to another fantastic year caring for your amazing pets! 🐶🐱🐰❤️

✨ Hello everyone! ✨

I’ve had quite a few clients asking when I’ll be opening my diary for next year, so I thought I’d let you all know that my 2027 diary will officially open on Wednesday 1st July! 🐾

If you’d like to book in holidays, pet sitting, or regular services for 2027, please send your dates over as soon as you can. As always, bookings will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

I’ve already organised my 2027 calendar, including my own holidays and days off, so I can make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible for both you and your pets.

Thank you so much for your continued support and for keeping me so busy doing a job I absolutely love. I can’t wait to look after all your wonderful pets in 2027! 💚
