After almost 7 years of Posh Paws...i am deciding to wind down and close.👋
I started this during Covid at 21 years of age, I was less than 1 year into a degree job which I had worked all my life for and I was put on furlough at my workplace in the March, launched Posh Paws in the May and braced for impact as I was let go from my job in the June. The creativity and ambition that flowed through me in those years was unstoppable and I had a 1 year old Dachshund Donut who I struggled to find nice looking boys dog accessories for so decided to create my own!🐶
The first year was amazing, I had so much time on my hands to design and make and I was going to the post office with so many orders, the feeling was amazing!
After covid I managed to find a job back in design full time however I did not have time for instagram and being creative in my day job made it hard for me to come home and be creative with Posh Paws in the evenings too, orders started to drop as the world also went back to work.
Thats when I started doing craft markets in around 2023, it was a way where I could meet people face to face and customers could try on my products, my first one was at Strelley Hall in Nottingham! I invested so much into making my stall look nice and I loved the social aspect and all of the customers and market friends I have made along the way!💞
Skip forward a few years I have got engaged at the end of 2025, in 2026 I have bought my own house, next year I will be getting married and turning 30🎉
The girl that I was at the beginning of this journey is not the same one anymore, she has new dreams of starting her own family and making more time for friends and family. She still loves to be creative where she can but sewing every evening and weekend was starting to feel like a bit of a chore than a happy hobby especially when there is a new house to decorate!🏠
I want to thank everyone that has supported me these years, shared posts, bought something for their pet and my family for doing markets with me in some terrible british weather!
My next market will be on Sunday the 4th October at The Garage Chilwell where I will have 20% off everything! [more in comments]
