Newton Wanderer

Newton Wanderer Welcome to my new business, I provide a trustworthy local dog walking service to the Newton, Notting

So this is a new venture for me and I have been quite busy setting everything up and doing the best I can to provide a good quality service to you and your pet. I offer two adventurous group dog walks a day These are in small groups of no more than 4 dogs. I want small groups to give the dogs my full attention and to keep them under proper control as well as safe in this current climate. One of th

ose dogs is most likely to be my own dog bandit as he loves a good walk with friends and is my inspiration for this business. I like to take the dogs to woodland, parks, lakes and rivers so that they can follow their natural instincts, socialise with each other in a pack environment. This is stimulating for them as well as for me because nobody likes to do the same boring trip round the block again and again. I am sure you would like to know more about me well after leaving school I spent 10 years in Germany in the British Army and I returned to the UK after I joined Nottinghamshire Police. I have worked as a Police Officer for the last 23 years but my combined service has allowed me to retire early and after a lot of thought and patient planning I am fortunate to be able to work for myself but still continue doing something that helps other people. During my time in the Police I found that walking my dog was fun and the best way to get regular exercise and relax my mind. I have met loads of lovely people through our mutual love of our pets and I could to be honest I could not wait to combine something I love in my new business venture. I have been planning this for quite some time and although I have a lot to learn from your pets I hope to provide a good quality service to both them and you. I am DBS checked, fully insured and trained in Canine first aid. I am a Gold member of NARPS UK which is the National Association of Registered Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers UK. I hold a level 1 Animal Transportation certificate and I have an appropriate vehicle professionally fitted with LINTRAN cages and suitable insulation and it is thermostatically monitored with electronic ventilation. I have also had both my Covid injections the last one being on the 8th May 2021 and I will proudly show you all of my certificates at our first meeting. please have a look at the pictures to see what walks we have been doing
Please also feel free to contact me with any questions,

Kind regards
Brian

At last the puddles are back and they taste lovely apparently. I took Ruby, Daphne and Jake to Blidworth Woods for the last walk of the week.
We had a great walk together and all had some sausage treats from the food van
Have a great weekend

I took Albus, Bonnie and Percy to Cropwell Bishop for a walk along the old canal.
They were all sniffy and happy but Percy was plotting…..
They were scampering all over the place but I realised they were looking for water to jump in but not Percy, he wanted to wallow. It’s like he knew where the mud was. Mucky pup
Bonnie and Albus were enjoying the blackberries too.

This morning I took Marley, Coco, Daphne, Floki and Gumbo to Calverton Woods for a walk. It was raining and hot at the same time so waterproofs were useless in the end I just left the jacket open for some fresh air.
The dogs are lucky they simply don’t care
We had a nice walk together though

Lovely walk in East Bridgford with Marley, Billy and Coco. We had a walk in the woods and along the river Trent. The dogs loved to have a little dip and chase some sticks. Billy was getting much braver as he wanted the stick and didn’t want Coco or Marley to get it.

So due to the summer holidays there was only Daphne and me today. We went to Blidworth as Daphne has some favourite puddles. She likes it when I say, “No Daphne don’t go in the water”
You can see the glee on her face and I bet the rainwater was nice and tasty too. We met some other dogs, stole a ball and had to give it back and then after our woodland walk we went to the sausage van and Daphne didn’t have to share her sausages.
Have a great weekend

Kick back and relax, you don’t need to go out in that rain
I did however and I took Albus, Bonnie and Percy with me. We went to the Linear trail in Bingham and there was a bit of Thunder and lightening and the rain came down like stair rods but it was quite nice actually. I met Sue Paget (The Trent Valley Dog Walker) with her pack and we had the whole trail to ourselves. The dogs all played together off lead while we chatted and caught up.
At least I wasn’t the only loon out in that weather.
Great walk.

I took Marley, Daphne, Coco and Gumbo for a walk around Calverton Woods this morning. There was much sniffing and searching for squirrels to be done. The pack put a solid hours work in but produced nothing, nada, zip.
I told them I don’t believe in squirrels

Marley and Billy came with me to Kneeton this morning. I wanted to see if there was a new route we could walk. We made our way past the Church and down a steep slope towards the river. Billy got rid of the geese and we had some fun with sticks in the water. Then we carried on along the footpath but we were met by the sheep army. Marley was nervous of the Woolley pack Billy would have loved to chase them all so we had to go back and leave the lovely spot to the sheep.
We had a nice walk though

Labrador ladies came with me to Calverton. It was smiles all round as they caught up with all the gossip. Coco is now free range with two kittens at home so she shared the news with Daphne and Ruby

The good, the barky and the dusty
I took Marley, Billy, Coco, Daphne and Floki to Blidworth Woods this morning for the last walk of the week. It was shaded with a nice breeze to be honest. The dogs were having great fun especially Billy, Floki and Coco who love to chase each other and pull or barge one another and bark instructions. They kicked up plumes of dust for me to breath in with their shenanigans. Marley started with a little stick which we needed to upgrade as it was barely visible and he wasn’t very proud of it and Daphne also wanted a nice cigar shaped stick to carry until she got bored.
Lovely walk
