Nala ❤️
Nala is a Malinois cross Shepherd who is reactive, but there is so much more to her than that label.
She had a difficult start in life, so the world can still feel overwhelming sometimes. Thankfully, she has an owner who saw the beautiful dog beneath those challenges and was determined to help her.
Together, they have worked so incredibly hard, learning to navigate the world one step at a time. The progress she has made is something to be incredibly proud of. ❤️
Nala now has a small circle of people she genuinely trusts and loves, and I am absolutely chuffed to bits to be one of them. 🥹
Seeing the bond she has built with me is incredibly special. She happily greets me, enjoys our walks and lets me fuss her. She is the most precious girl with the biggest heart. ❤️
Nala can still find certain situations difficult, but with patience, understanding and support, she is learning to handle them with greater confidence.
And she has come on leaps and bounds. 🥰

Reactive dogs are often misunderstood. Reactivity is a response to something a dog finds overwhelming; it does not define their character or make them “bad”. A properly fitted and responsibly used muzzle can be an important safety tool, helping dogs enjoy walks and training with extra peace of mind.
Nala is a perfect example of why we should look beyond a dog’s reactions and try to understand what they are communicating. Beneath those big feelings is one of the most beautiful-natured dogs I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing.
Every relaxed walk, greeting and moment she chooses to stay close is a little victory — proof of a brave, sensitive girl finding her way in the world.
Her progress is not about becoming like every other dog; it is about becoming more confident, comfortable and fully herself. And what a beautiful dog she is.
