These were taken during his treatment for Ringworm ...
Left one was just after he had a bath and the right one was when you could see his hair growing back. That one also makes him look small and extra cute πŸ₯°

Who remembers the ever so poorly Angus?
Well, he has changed a lot since my last post and here he is πŸ₯°

He arrived back in June at 450g and was released at 1102g!

He was lethargic, very skinny , very dehydrated, covered in fleas, flystrike and ticks . He had noisy breathing and had sessions in the nebuliser along with medication and steroids. He had Fluke , lungworm , Roundworm and Coccidia that all required medication AND he also had ringworm that meant he lost hair and spines needing bathing and medication too.

A true example of how poorly hedgehogs can be when they appear in the day and a great example of how resilient these amazing animals are.

I fight for as long as they fight and it's been a long one with Angus after 76 days in care. Sooooo, I'm incredibly proud to have been able to give him back his freedom πŸ₯°

Thankyou to his finder for getting him help and for arranging a safer place for him to be released .

Arriving at 261g and leaving at 666g after being treated for dehydration, Fluke and Cap (Roundworm).

Thankyou to a local family who stepped up to support feed so he could be released close to where he was found πŸ₯°

Pat had come out so I thought I'd be able to quietly take a picture.... I did but then he came towards my phone and tried to bite it πŸ˜‚

Sad post incoming 😭

This is little Marshal weighing only 155g and arrived on 24th August

Having been found out in the day the day before, by the time he arrived in rescue he wasn't in a good way at all πŸ˜”
Marshall was skinny , dehydrated, lethargic , cold , wobbly , had fleas, ticks , mites, flystrike and maggots !

He had my full attention and over several hours he was given warmth, fluids and the fleas, ticks , flystrike and maggots were removed .
I saw him perk up and then deteriorate becoming lifeless before passing away 8-9 hours after arrival 😭

Rest in Peace and free from pain little one 😭

Meet 'Houdini' 😍

Collected on 21st August from Anchorage Veterinary Centre after being found out in the day. He was named by the Vet staff after escaping lol 🀣

Arriving at 150g and is currently 230g

On arrival his jumping guests were spritzed away, he had ticks removed and spent time in the incubator before being given fluids for dehydration

Poo Sample showed several Fluke so treatment was started. Days later, another poo sample showed a high burden of Cap (roundworm eggs)and Lungworm so treatment for those have also been started

Keeping my fingers crossed for this poorly little man 🀞
