5 session in-home training course.

This works really well for both puppies and adult dogs. Whether youā€™re starting from scratch or just want to improve things, working in your own home makes a big difference as itā€™s where everything actually happens day to day.

Each session is tailored to you, so weā€™ll cover whatever you need help with, whether thatā€™s getting the basics in place with a puppy or improving control and consistency with an older dog.

The course is 5 x 1 hour sessions, and Iā€™ll guide you through what to work on between each one so you keep progressing.

Itā€™s ideal for things like obedience, lead work, recall and general behaviour around the home.

Within 10 miles of Poringland only

You can book your first session through the website and Iā€™ll arrange the rest with you.

(Not suitable for aggression)

Why does my dog stare at me while pooing? šŸ‘€

Awkward question... but why do they do it?

Dogs can feel vulnerable when they are toileting and often look towards the person they trust to keep watch.

So whilst you're standing there feeling slightly uncomfortable, your dog is basically saying:

"I've got my trousers down... keep guard." šŸ˜†

We are incredibly proud to share that our Gundog Trainer, Sophie, has just won first place at a gundog competition with her wonderful dog.

Success at this level does not happen by chance. It is the result of countless hours of training, dedication, patience, and an exceptional partnership between dog and handler. To achieve a first place in such a respected competition is a fantastic accomplishment and a real testament to Sophieā€™s skill, knowledge, and commitment to her dogs.

This was my beautiful boy Arnie ā¤ļø

Some dogs come into your lifeā€¦ and some dogs leave pawprints on your heart forever. Arnie was one of those once in a lifetime companions and although I lost him a few years ago now, not a day goes by that I donā€™t think about him.

Arnie also made me realise just how underrated Poodles can be. They seem to be such a forgotten breed these days, often overlooked or only thought of as ā€œshow dogsā€ or crossed with everything imaginable. But behind those curls are some of the most intelligent, loyal, funny and sensitive dogs you could ever wish to meet.

If youā€™ve ever had a once in a lifetime dog, youā€™ll understand exactly what I mean šŸŒˆ

32 years ago today I started my journey as a Dog Trainer and Behaviourist

Back then there was no Facebook, no social media, no online booking systems and definitely no people filming every training session on their phones šŸ˜†

What there wasā€¦ was a younger version of me, a lot less grey hair, a huge passion for dogs and probably the belief that training every dog would be straightforward.

Over the years Iā€™ve worked with thousands of dogs. Tiny dogs, giant dogs, clever dogs, stubborn dogs, nervous dogs and dogs that have looked me square in the eye before doing the exact opposite of what I asked šŸ˜¬

Iā€™ve met incredible owners, made lifelong friends and had the privilege of helping dogs and families through some really difficult times.

So thank you to everyone who has trusted me with their dogs over the years ā¤ļø

Nowā€¦ who remembers training with me years ago? Iā€™d love to hear how long ago it was šŸ˜‚
