German Shepherds are known for being one of the ultimate breeds for assisting in law enforcement and defence operations.
Being one of the most intelligent dogs, they are superb at suspect apprehension, tracking, sentry duty, and tactical operations.
Mine, Yaro - is, on chilled days, just a dog, a sleepy, snoring companion wanting a tummy tickle!

An icy tale 🤭
I’ve been giving out free doggy ice creams in our park in the heat - and decided to give my own borrowed doggy Yaro one…
A German Shepherd, Yaro has a particularly long nose - and the delicious but dainty are probably aimed at smaller ones.
As you can see there was no brain nor tummy freeze though - all was fine!

Different skills!
Running a dog park has made me realise how I couldn’t do it without my husband Christopher Papworth - and equally, he couldn’t without me!
As I hope you all know, despite what I say here as a joke, I rarely sit down & relax.
Kit and I were in the dog park close to midnight last night - he was emptying the bins and I was putting out ice-creams as we had a 5am session booked today! We want it to be so lovely for you all.
This reel was filmed this afternoon when Kit
quickly mowed the park in between sessions - I took the chance to come in and check on the ice-creams.
So, we are an effective team. 👍

News update!
Has Yaro’s favourite blue bone toy finally squeaked for the last time?
As I’ve recounted on here, he found the toy with the excruciating squeak in our dog park back in February.
Every time he visits, he heads straight for the plant pot where it’s kept and spends the rest of the time chewing it - causing me to reach for my ear plugs!
And - week after week this toy - actually belonging to who were happy to leave it behind 🤭 - has remained robust.
But…I think finally the might of a GSD bite may be too much for it…
🤣🤣🤣
