A massive thank you to all the clients who have been so understanding about me having to cancel, reschedule or postpone services as a result of me being hit hard with tonsillitis and the dreaded autumn bug (that feels like a chest infection!) over the last three days.

So grateful to have such wonderful people not only support Green Paws as a business but also care so much about my general wellbeing/health!

What an amazing weekend celebrating my birthday! 🎁

I feel incredibly lucky to have spent it surrounded by the people I love, showing my pony, who not only won both of her classes but has now also qualified for Equifest 2027!
I was thoroughly spoiled as I stepped into chapter 28.

A little Green Paws diary update:

I am now fully booked across all pet and equine services for October. I will also be taking the week commencing 26th October away from the Green Paws office to complete my required parlour hours as part of my Level 2 Dog Grooming course. I am currently contacting any clients who may be affected by this.

I am up to date with enquiries, however I would encourage all clients to book any required pet sits, dog walks, home visits, or equine cover for November and December as soon as possible. My availability will be reduced while I undertake my synoptic exams, and I will also be prioritising family time throughout December. If you require cover during either of these months, please book early to avoid disappointment.

Please note that bookings will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. I will not be chasing dates or unconfirmed enquiries, and if a booking is not completed, I will assume the space is no longer required and will offer it to other clients.

Finally, I’ll also be taking a well-earned break from 25th–27th November to enjoy some time away at Forest Edge Retreats with my pony and dogs.

🐾 **GREEN PAWS CLIENT UPDATE** 🐾

A little client update from me before I head off on annual leave tomorrow through to Monday to celebrate my birthday! 🎂🥂

Invoices have been sent out this morning, and I would really appreciate prompt payment from all clients, please.

I completely understand that life gets busy, but I am no longer in a position to continually chase outstanding payments. Going forward, clients who regularly fail to pay invoices on time may be removed from my services. Green Paws is a small business, and timely payments make a huge difference in keeping everything running smoothly — thank you for understanding. 🤍

🐾 Important Service Update – Price Changes from 1st October 🐾

Hello everyone!

I wanted to give you all plenty of notice that from 1st October, my prices will be increasing across several of my services.

I have put off making this change for the last 2½ years because I have always wanted to keep my prices as affordable as possible while continuing to provide the very best care for your beloved pets. However, with the rising costs of insurance, diesel, and ongoing professional development, this has become increasingly difficult to sustain.

As much as I love what I do, this is my full-time job, and these changes are necessary to ensure I can continue providing the high standard of care that you and your pets deserve. ❤️

🐶 Updated pricing from 1st October

These are starting prices, with the final cost depending on the services required:

Solo 1-to-1 home visits or walks

* 1 hour from £16.00
* Additional dogs from the same household: £3.00 each

Yard cover

* From £17.00 per hour, depending on the services required
* Holiday cover and premium times, such as late-night checks: from £19.00 per hour

Pet sitting

* From £65.00
* Additional dogs or cats: £5.00 each

I will be speaking to clients individually where necessary to confirm their updated prices and make sure everyone has plenty of notice.

💳 A reminder about payments

I also need to address something that has become increasingly frustrating: overdue invoices and late payments.

I have always tried to be understanding and flexible, but I am no longer in a position to continually chase payments or accept repeated excuses for unpaid services.

From 1st October, I will be taking a firmer approach to outstanding invoices. Clients who consistently fail to pay on time, without prior arrangement, may have their services cancelled and will no longer be able to book with me.

I absolutely love spending my days caring for your animals, but this is my full-time business and the way I pay my bills. My time outside of work is precious, and I want to spend it with my own animals and family rather than chasing unpaid invoices.

Just as you would pay for your shopping at Tesco, I need payment for the services I provide. Your pets receive my time, care, and dedication, and I need to be paid for that work promptly.

Thank you so much to all of my wonderful, reliable clients who support my business, pay on time, and appreciate the care I provide. You genuinely make this job a pleasure, and I am incredibly grateful to have you and your pets in my life. 🐾❤️

What an amazing start to the week! ✨

It’s been none stop action here at Green Paws HQ since the temperature dropped. From regular walks, to ad hoc care and holiday feline cover, with a additional pastry treat from a very grateful ragwort client, all systems are go and I couldn’t be more proud of the business I get to call a full time job 🐾🐶

I still have a flexible amount of cover available for both July and August 2026, including opening my books to new regular, ad hoc holiday cover or pet sitting clients. Please drop me a message directly to discuss! 📲

☀️ Hot weather means an early start for the Green Paws team! ☀️

This morning, before 8am, our team had already checked in on 7 horses and 4 cats across three locations, including our own two horses, to make sure everyone was safe, comfortable, and prepared for today’s scorching temperatures, expected to reach around 30°C across Norfolk.

With temperatures climbing quickly, it’s important for all pet owners to take extra precautions to help animals stay cool and avoid heat-related illness.

🐴 Keeping horses cool in hot weather:
• Ensure fresh, clean water is available at all times.
• Provide access to shade, whether natural or man-made.
• Ride or exercise only during the coolest parts of the day, ideally early morning or late evening.
• Hose down horses with cool water and allow to drip dry where possible!
• Watch for signs of heat stress such as excessive sweating, lethargy, rapid breathing, or reluctance to move.

🐱 Keeping cats cool in hot weather:
• Make sure plenty of fresh water is available in multiple locations.
• Keep curtains closed and create cool, shaded areas indoors.
• Provide cool resting spots such as tiled floors or cooling mats.
• Encourage activity during cooler parts of the day and allow plenty of rest.
• Watch for signs of overheating, including panting, drooling, weakness, or unusual behaviour.

⚠️ Heat Warning – Stay Safe Today
Today’s high temperatures can be dangerous for both people and animals. Avoid strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day, keep hydrated, never leave pets in vehicles, and check regularly on vulnerable animals and neighbours. Heat-related illnesses can develop quickly, so early intervention is key.
