This little pup had a pre-class session with me, mainly to help build his confidence and to work on some strategies for introducing him more calmly to the cats at home. He spent the first few moments barking his head off at me, but we soon became friends.

To help with his confidence, he learned a chin touch, and we practised what to do when he sees something scary while out and about. We also worked on ways to stop people from rushing over to touch him. It's a curse when you're shy but look so cute!

This two year old cockapoo has been making excellent progress with loose lead. She was a serial puller, but after a few sessions her loose lead outside is looking very impressive. We are now starting to work on her barking when she sees other dogs, so as you can probably guess, Haku is due for a visit!

I have been visiting this cute pair for a few weeks now, because one of them is very worried about people. We have been using a range of handling training and directional training to help her feel safer when new people visit by having a structured way for them to greet her, and helping her learn she can move away from the situation to feel safe. She has come on very well and loves the training, I am now proud to be one of her 'trusted people' and she spends the session loving her training wagging her little tail the whole time!

A few pictures of the puppies and dogs attending classes from Frebruary, we had lots of superstars with their stays and leave its this time round, including some foundation dogs getting to a dropped lead stay. In Advancers we worked on distractions with stays as well as randomised recalls from stays off-lead. Well done everyone for your hard work!

Haku has been helping a young collie recently with her confidence meeting dogs. At first they just walked together on lead, but as her confidence has been growing, Haku now helps model calm greeting behaviours with dogs we meet (except when he sees a golden retriever and can't help jumping on them)!

The puppies and dogs have been working hard at their classes, we have had a few barkers who have learend calmness and one or two who have been gaining confidence and going from hiding under the chairs to wagging and wiggling on their way in!
