NEW CAT NAMES!
😻 Chloe is a regular visitor at The Cat House with her mum. She is 19 years old, is learning disabled and autistic. The Cat House is one of the only places she feels happy and comfortable her mum tells us.
😻 Every time Chloe visits she creates new names for the cats, which we find so sweet and fun! So we asked for a list and photo so we can share our cats new names with you all!
👉 Let us know which ones you think are the best!
👉 We love Dave being renamed Alice, it somehow suits him perfectly!! 😂

Thanks so much for sharing with us Chloe! 😻

Happy (Slightly Belated) Birthday Lily! 😻🖤

We love your freaky ways, your crazy attitude and energy that brings so much joy and laughter to The Cat House. You light up the room with your playful pounces, adorable little meows, and snuggles that melt our hearts. Even when you steal napkins from all our visitors, leaving a trail of mischief and mayhem in your wake, we can't help but laugh and shake our heads in amusement. Haha, you truly are a unique and special kitty, and we're so grateful to have you as part of our family! ❤️

THE SCIENCE BIT:

🩶 Endorphins are natural chemicals produced by your nervous system to help you manage pain and stress. They are often called the body's "feel-good" chemicals because they block pain signals and can produce a feeling of comfort or safe euphoria.

🩶 When endorphins attach to your brain's op**te receptors, they also trigger the release of dopamine, rewarding you with an extra boost of happiness.

🤎 Oxytocin is a hormone and neurotransmitter often nicknamed the "love hormone" or "cuddle chemical." It is produced in the hypothalamus and released by the pituitary gland into the bloodstream.

🤎 While endorphins act primarily as your body's natural pain relievers, oxytocin drives social bonding, trust, empathy, and emotional connection. It is fundamental to human relationships, maternal-infant bonding, and feelings of safety and calm.

❤️ Stroking a cat or hearing cats purr boosts these hormones and chemicals massively, so come indulge yourself and your date soon!

👉 Please note: other people will be in the session too, unless you book the whole session.
👉 Please get in touch to enquire about private bookings, they are very popular!
