☀️KEEP YOUR PET SAFE DURING HOT WEATHER☀️

Heatstroke occurs when your pet’s body can no longer regulate its internal temperature. Unlike humans, most pets can't sweat efficiently. Dogs rely heavily on panting, cats on grooming and shade, and rabbits on ear thermoregulation. When these mechanisms are overwhelmed by external heat, the result can be organ failure, seizures, or even death.

HOW CAN WE HELP AS PET OWNERS?

1. Move all walks to early morning or late evening.
2. Provide cool-down breaks during play.
3. Avoid car travel during peak heat unless essential.
4. Use cool mats, shaded spots, and fans indoors.
5. Monitor for early signs, excessive panting, drooling, vomiting, glazed eyes, and confusion.
6. Keep blinds down during peak heat.
7. Offer ice cubes in water for playful lappers.

For rabbits:

1. Provide continuous airflow, fans away from direct paths.
2. Move outdoor rabbits indoors during the hottest days.
3. Keep hutches shaded and well-ventilated.
4. Offer damp leafy greens for hydration and comfort.
5. Watch for red ears, panting, and listlessness.

⚠️IF YOUR PET EXHIBITS SIGNS OF HEATSTROKE, SEEK VETERINARY ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY.⚠️
