Cheshire Riding School is long established and started in 1999 and has been based at Brookhouse Equestrian Centre since 2005. The CRS ethos from day one has been to provide an enjoyable, friendly, safe leisure environment for its customers with excellent facilities and superb horses and ponies. Cheshire Riding School is very lucky to be based at such a scenic location in the beautiful Cheshire countryside. Undulating dry land, ancient woodland, stream, all weather farm ride, superb riding and livery facilities make Cheshire Riding School amazing for everyone to enjoy. Andrea and Ian first discovered Brookhouse farm, a former dairy farm, when we were looking to relocate from the original base at Arley. The farm was in a very run-down state when it was found and it has taken many years of effort and investment to create the centre we have now. We have previously displayed “before and after” pictures at open days and events of how the centre was created. Our superb team of staff are seeking to help us become the best riding school in the country. Cheshire Riding School has won a number of accolades already and is very highly regarded by the BHS, ABRS, Pony Club and other equine bodies. Cheshire Riding School is a BHS accredited exam centre up to and including level 4. We have been chosen as base for three BBC TV programmes, a channel 5 programme, a visit from ITV, won safety awards and many compliments from regulatory and licensing bodies on how well the yard is run and our horses are cared for. CRS has consistently been rated highly commended in every category in BHS annual inspections. General Terms & Conditions

🐴 HORSES WANTED TO JOIN THE CRS FAMILY!

Cheshire Riding School is looking for some special horses and ponies to join our team! ❤️

🌟 16hh+ All-Rounders
We’re looking for genuine, versatile all-rounders who enjoy a varied life, including:

* Schooling and general riding
* Hacking on the roads and our farm rides
* Showjumping to a minimum of 90cm
* Cross-country to a minimum of 80cm

🌟 14hh–14.2hh All-Rounder
We’re also looking for a lovely, genuine all-rounder suitable for riders of all levels, with a kind temperament and a willingness to look after their rider.

🏡 For Sale or Working Livery
The right horse or pony can be purchased outright, or we would be happy to discuss a working livery arrangement for a suitable addition to our team.

❤️ A 5⭐ Home Awaits!
At CRS, all our horses and ponies receive the very best care and are treated just like our own. They’re showered with love, attention and plenty of fuss, alongside regular farrier, dental, veterinary and physiotherapy checks.

Finding the right match is really important to us. We want horses who will enjoy their work, be well cared for and become part of the CRS family. 🥰

📩 Have a horse or pony you think could be a perfect fit?

We’d love to hear from you! Please email Mel at [email protected] with details, photos and videos.

Please feel free to share with anyone who may have a suitable horse or pony!

🐎 Help us find our next CRS superstars! ❤️

YARD UPDATE – ALL CLEAR

We are pleased to confirm that all subsequent testing has returned negative results. Following veterinary advice, we have now been cleared to remove all temporary biosecurity measures from Today - Wednesday 7 October 2026.

The riding school and livery yard can now operate as usual, with horses permitted to move on and off the premises again.

As we return to normal, please remember that the livery yard is a **private area** and separate from the riding school. Riding school clients and members of the public must:

- Not pass the gate at Teddy’s stable or the temporary fence at Frankie’s stable. The temporary fence will remain in place for the next few weeks as a reminder of the livery yard boundary.
- Not go beyond the end of Arena 4, including onto the farm ride, which is a no-access area for pedestrians.
- Enter and leave the riding school using the designated public entrance only. Please do not access the yard through any other gates.

Thank you once again to our clients, liveries, staff and the local equestrian community for your cooperation and support throughout the period of restrictions.

If you cancelled lessons while awaiting the all clear and would now like to return, please contact reception to book back in.
