UPCOMING HEATWAVE 🥵

We will be putting our hot weather protocol in place from Thursday this week!

A 2 week heatwave has been predicted, so changes will be made from Thursday to prioritise your pets safety while still providing their regular fuss and enrichment from us during the hot days 😉

Another big welcome to newbie Olive ❤️
Again just like Cosmo, Olive is joing us for ad-hoc walks🥰
She's a boisterous puppy, so was very excited and over the top on our first day of walks together today 🙈
But that just meant we can help instill good behaviours and manners when it comes to walking with other dogs 🐕 recall and basic obedience! 🐾

Any dog walk with us is a good lesson for them 👏
And fun and fuss of course 😉

Another fabulous newbie to our family 🧡

Cosmo has joined us on an ad-hoc basis for the occasional walk & overnight stays 🐾

He was a bit nervy at first, but we paired him with the dogs we thought were best suited. Which included my puppy Teddy 🧸

With them being the same age, we thought it would be best for him that they go out together ❤️ and they certainly hit it off right away!

What a cute duo 😍

We have absolutely loved how Frankie has settled right in with us and her new doggie friends after 2 weeks 😍

We take bringing a new dog in to our existing groups very seriously. What with all the different types of personalities our dogs have, we wouldn't want to get it wrong!

We never want any of our dogs uncomfortable, so adding in an additional dog to existing groups takes time.

But when we see any new dog who joins us thrive, it makes our heart melt with happiness ❤️

You would certainly never catch me working another job when I can spend my working hours in the fresh air and with animals all day long 🐕

Is dog walking a piece of cake, absolutely not! Does it take a lot mentally & physically. Hell yeah.

Would i change it, definitely not! I am in this for life 🐾❤️

We have absolutely been loving the new changes we have made to walks recently 💕

You might ask what even is their to change.. well, a lot!

When i started this business almost 8 years ago, I wanted to provide as much as I could all at once. As many things as possible. And if you've been where I have you'll understand, but i got burnt out pretty quickly.

While it was okay in the beginning, the more established I became the more I just could not sustain the level of work I was actually doing. It wasn't healthy. And it was unfair to regular clients.

In the beginning I provided 3 different lengths of walks.
♡ 30 minutes
♡45 minutes
♡ 60 minutes

Now I only provide
♡ 30 minutes
And
♡ 60 minutes

I did this because it made more sense to do so. And here's why -

♡ It cut down my driving time. (For both myself and the dogs being transported in the car for the walks!)
♡ it allowed us to provide an even better and enriching walk for the dogs we care for on the daily.
♡ it allowed more time between our set groups, which in turn gave us that extra time on the walks. Even if we ran a bit late.
♡ we were able to rearrange our dogs into better settled groups and into a more compacted catchment area.
♡ we weren't feeling the need to RUSH!

And many more reasons for changing the length of walks we provide.
Running your own business is a learning curve and it is certainly NEVER EASY..

But as a business you change, grow and evolve. And are always trying to improve not only the way you work. But continuing the professionalism and support you give to your clients on the daily and keeping those doggo's happy 🐕

April so far 🐾🐕

And with that comes with so many reasons to continue doing what we do ❤️

♡ Physical Health: Walking your dog is a great way to get exercise, which helps with cardiovascular health, stamina, and weight management. It’s a low-impact activity that benefits both you and your dog.

♡ Mental Health: Both dogs and humans can experience a mood boost from being outside and getting some fresh air. Walking, especially in nature, has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression in people, and it can also help dogs release pent-up energy and reduce behavioral issues.

♡ Bonding Time: Walking together strengthens the bond between you and your dog. It’s a chance to connect, communicate, and spend quality time together outside of the usual daily routines.

♡ Routine and Structure: Dogs thrive on routine, and daily walks provide a structure that can help them feel secure. It also helps with behavior training, as consistent walks offer opportunities to reinforce good behavior and obedience.

♡ Mental Stimulation: Dogs are naturally curious, and walking gives them the chance to explore new sights, smells, and sounds. This mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise for their overall well-being.

♡ Socialization: For both you and your dog, walks are a great opportunity for socialization. You can meet other dog owners and dogs, which helps both you and your dog become more comfortable with others.
