Iris-Rose has been working so hard on building her confidence with Wizz, particularly when it comes to trotting due to his size. So today we decided to take the next step and head out on the road together!

I was riding Lancelot whilst leading 11-year-old Iris-Rose and Wizz, with Louise walking alongside us just in case — and both boys were absolute superstars! 🥰

Iris-Rose rode Wizz beautifully and was so confident throughout. Watching her confidence grow week after week is honestly one of my favourite parts of teaching. From having a confidence barrier with trotting to happily hacking out on this absolute giant — look how far she’s come! 🥹🙌🏻

A huge well done to Iris-Rose & Wizz, and of course Lancelot for being the perfect lead horse! 🖤

🐴 WINTER AVAILABILITY UPDATE 🐴

Well… I can officially announce that TGS Equine is FULLY BOOKED for the WHOLE OF WINTER! 🤯❤️

I currently have absolutely ZERO availability and unfortunately, I physically cannot squeeze any new clients — or existing clients outside of their regular booked days — into my diary.

As much as I would love to help everyone, there simply aren’t enough hours in the day! 🙈🤣

I have lots of new faces joining me over the coming weeks, and I’m so excited to introduce you all to them and get to know lots of new clients and their gorgeous ponies. 🥰🐴

If you’re a riding client, please try to book your sessions as far in advance as possible.

Once my available spaces have gone, unfortunately there isn’t anything I can do to squeeze additional rides in, especially throughout the winter months when the diary is already completely packed.

🐴 Tuesday’s agenda — another productive day! 💪🏻

First stop was over to Glebe:

✔️ 2 horses turned out
✔️ 5 stables mucked out, beds left up to dry
✔️ Haynets made & hung up
✔️ Fresh waters

Next stop was over to Colmworth:

✔️ Hay put out in the fields
✔️ 13 horses turned out
✔️ 11 stables mucked out, beds left up to dry
✔️ Fresh hay & waters
✔️ Feed bowls cleaned
✔️ Yard swept

Then it was over to Little Staughton for something a little different! 🥰- Today we attempted our first ride & lead hack with Iris-Rose & Wizz, myself on Lance and Louise on foot just in case anything went wrong.
Thankfully, both horses were absolute superstars and behaved brilliantly! It was a lovely ride☺️

Next stop was over to Finn 🤎-
He came in for a few hours to have some feed and enjoy a good munch on some hay. 😋🌿

Then it was over to Olney to meet a lovely new client ahead of some cover starting in September. 🥰

Back over to Colmworth for the evening round:

✔️ Mash soaked
✔️ AM & PM feeds made
✔️ Horses brought in

First stop was over to Colmworth:

✔️ Hay put out in the fields before turnout
✔️ 11 stables mucked out, with beds left up to allow mats to dry
✔️ Fresh hay & waters
✔️ Yard swept
✔️ Feed bowls cleaned

Next stop was over to Finn 🤎🌿

A short but sweet 30-minute hack, followed by some time for him to have a munch on some hay and enjoy a little downtime.

Then it was back over to Colmworth for the evening round:

✔️ 11 beds pulled down
✔️ Mash soaked
✔️ AM & PM feeds made
✔️ 13 horses brought in
✔️ Dinners given
✔️ Yard swept

Over to Cogenhoe next:

✔️ 2 ponies hayed
✔️ 2 fields poo picked 💩

And finally, last stop of the day was back to my own yard for some poo picking! 💩

❌ PLEASE READ ❌

Due to the increased demand for my workload on Wednesdays, from 1st October 2026 my usual “day off” will be changing from a Wednesday to a Monday.

This means that Mondays will now be my designated day off, allowing me to accommodate the increased workload throughout the rest of the week.

As well as this, I am now fully booked for yard work throughout the whole of winter and unfortunately I am unable to squeeze any additional regular yard clients into my diary. 🙈

However, I do still have a few gaps between yards on specific days which can be used for:

🐴 Riding
🎓 Teaching
💩 Poo picking
🐶 Dog walking
🏡 Other ad-hoc services

So if any of these would be useful to you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and I can let you know what availability I have ☺️

Sunday’s agenda started with a gorgeous hack on Gem, followed by 3 barrows of poo cleared from the field! 💩🤣

Next up was a lesson with Helen & Brodie.

Brodie was definitely feeling a little lazy today 🙈, but Helen handled her brilliantly and managed to get her working really well towards the end. 🥰

Then it was time for a hack on Martey Moo 💛-Today was a pretty exciting milestone as Martey had his first big-boy canter out in the open fields! 🤩. We only did a very short one as the ground is rock solid at the moment, but we wanted to test the waters and see how he’d react…as expected he had a little bronk initially because cantering in an open field is VERY exciting! 🤣🙈

Once he’d got that out of his system, he went into canter really nicely and managed to maintain it surprisingly well considering his fitness levels aren’t quite where we’d like them to be yet🥰

Another little milestone ticked off! 🐴💛

Last work stop of the day was my regular Odell yard:

🐴 A busy weekend full of yard cover, riding, teaching & poo picking! 💪🏻

Saturday’s agenda was my usual Colmworth yard:

✔️ Feeds made
✔️ Horses brought back in & fed dinner

As well as my regular lesson with Iris-Rose & Wizz and a ride out with Louise & Cindy — and both absolutely smashed it! 😍

Iris-Rose is now trotting “by herself” on the lunge whilst we continue working on her position and building her confidence. Every single week she gets better and better, and that smile on her face just gets bigger and bigger! 🥹😍

Louise’s smile is also getting bigger with every ride! 🥰 Louise & Cindy are a relatively new partnership, but they are coming together so beautifully and I’m so happy to see Louise enjoying her riding again❤️

🐴 It’s been a quiet week work-wise, but a busy week life-wise!

As most of my clients know, Finn has relocated this week, so I deliberately booked myself 3 days off to make sure he was happy, settled and comfortable in his new home. 🥰

And honestly… I don’t think I had anything to worry about! 🤣

He settled from the second he arrived and has taken everything completely in his stride. We’ve already ventured out on 2 hacks, and he has been incredibly well behaved.

He’s never been what I’d describe as a “spicy” or particularly nervous horse, but he has always had his moments out hacking. This week, however, he has been SO calm that I was genuinely taken back! 🙈🤣

It’s almost like I’ve got a completely different horse!

He’s also made lots of new field friends and seems to be absolutely living his best life 🤎🐴🌱

Thankfully, he settled much quicker than expected, which meant I managed to squeeze a few jobs in around him too.

Over the week I’ve managed to fit in:

🐴 A lovely hack on Gem
🐴 2 schooling sessions with Mush & Bennie
💩 1 field poo picked
🐴 7 stables mucked out
🌾 Fresh hay & water
🐴 1 horse brought in
🧹 Yard swept

Unfortunately, I didn’t get many photos of the work side of things this week 🙈 — I was far too busy enjoying having a slightly quieter week and making sure my own boy was happy!

It’s been really nice having a few days to slow down, focus on Finn and make sure he’s settled into his new routine. 🤎

Back to normal business next week… although I’m sure Finn will be expecting his little holiday to continue! 🤣🐴

🐴 GET TO KNOW ME — THE FACE BEHIND TGS EQUINE 🐴

With lots of new followers and clients joining me recently, I thought it was about time I introduced myself properly! 🥰

So, hi! 👋🏼 I’m Tameeka, I’m 22 years old and I’ve been freelancing for the past 2 years — although horses have been a huge part of my life for much, much longer! 🐴❤️

So, how did TGS Equine begin?

Before freelancing, I worked in the healthcare sector. I absolutely adored my patients and genuinely enjoyed the physical side of the job, but the workplace stress eventually made me realise that I needed a change and wanted to take my career in a completely different direction.

And that’s where freelancing came in…

My Thoroughbred injured himself for what felt like the millionth time 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 and I suddenly found myself with nothing to ride!

I put a little post on Facebook advertising my riding services, not really knowing where it would lead… and that’s quite literally how this whole journey began! 😍

Fast forward 2 years and here we are! 🥹

Where did my love for horses come from?

I’ve been around horses for as long as I can remember and got my very first horse when I was just 3 years old.

Growing up, I spent a lot of time in hospital due to a rare blood disorder, starting from around 6 months old through to the age of 12. My absolute angel of a Nana wanted me to have something I could enjoy and look forward to outside of hospital visits.

As she already had horses, I chose horses🥹❤️

And honestly, I’m forever grateful that she introduced me to this incredible sport and lifestyle.

She took me all over the country showing, and I have so many childhood memories of her getting up at the crack of dawn every weekend, helping me plait, groom and bathe my ponies ready for a weekend of showing or show jumping.

Looking back, I realise just how much time, effort and love she put into giving me that childhood — and I couldn’t be more grateful. 🥹🤍

My biggest passion — Thoroughbreds & ex-racehorses 🏇🏼

My absolute favourite horses to work with are ex-racehorses.

I got my first ex-racer when I was 14 and, although she slightly traumatised me at times 🤣, I completely fell in love with the breed and have never looked back!

I think Thoroughbreds are such incredibly beautiful and versatile horses. They’re intelligent, sensitive, athletic and, when you get them on your side, they will try their absolute hearts out for you. 🥰

There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping an ex-racehorse find their feet in a completely different career and watching their confidence grow.

And my ultimate dream? ❤️

One day I’d absolutely love to have my own yard, alongside buying ex-racehorses, retraining them and eventually finding them their perfect forever homes.

It’s a big dream, but it’s something I’d love to work towards over the years. 🤞🏼🐴

Finally, I just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported me over the past 2 years.

I’ve met some of the loveliest people, had clients turn into friends for life, and had the absolute privilege of working with so many beautiful, talented and completely different horses.

What started with one Facebook post because my own horse was injured has turned into a business that I’m incredibly proud of. 🥹

It’s been an amazing 2 years and I genuinely can’t wait to see where the next few take me.
