🚨 WALKS CANCELLED – THURSDAY & FRIDAY 🚨
Unfortunately, I’ve made the decision to cancel all walks for the next two days due to the extreme heat. 🥵☀️
The forecast is showing temperatures reaching 33°C, with a “feels like” temperature around 31°C, and although it might be frustrating to have plans changed, the health and safety of the dogs has to come first. 🐾❤️
Walking dogs in these temperatures can put them at serious risk of heatstroke, dehydration, burnt paw pads and overheating, especially when they’re running around, excited or unable to regulate their temperature properly. It simply isn’t worth taking that risk.
And honestly… this weather is becoming so frustrating for us self-employed dog walkers! 😩 We completely understand that cancelling walks is inconvenient, and it’s just as frustrating for me to lose two days of work and income. Unlike a normal job, when I don’t walk, I don’t get paid — but I would much rather lose a couple of days’ work than put any of your dogs in danger.
I know the weather has been unpredictable and plans have had to change repeatedly, but unfortunately the dogs’ welfare will always come before business. 🐶❤️
