A Celebration of Unforgettable Memories and Friendships.
How do you sum up a year of memories like these?
The Riding Holidays of 2026 has given us some truly magical times at Tràigh Mhòr Pony Trekking — days filled with horses, laughter, friendship, breathtaking Hebridean landscapes and those little moments that somehow become the ones you remember forever.
We’ve ridden across wide open beaches with the Minch stretching out beside us. We’ve followed trails through the moors and sand dunes, felt the wind in our faces, laughed until our sides hurt and shared that wonderful feeling of being exactly where we wanted to be — on horseback, in one of the most beautiful places in the world. But our riding holidays have never been just about the riding.They’re about arriving as strangers and leaving as friends.
They’re about finding your horse — that special connection that sometimes happens from the very first ride.
They’re about nervous moments becoming proud ones, challenges becoming achievements and riders discovering that they are capable of so much more than they thought. They’re about the conversations while untacking, the laughter around the yard, the stories shared after a long day in the saddle and the friendships that continue long after everyone has travelled home.
And, of course, they’re about our wonderful horses and ponies — Hannah, Diamond, Jock, Gwen, Spirit, Bella, Six, Pudding, and Willow, — each with their own personality and each playing their own special part in someone’s holiday story. We have watched riders grow in confidence, friendships blossom and dreams of galloping along a Hebridean beach become reality.
There have been windswept hair days, sandy boots, muddy jodhpurs, tired legs, huge smiles and more laughter than we could ever count.
And through it all, there has been one thing that has made 2026 so special…
The people.
To every single person who chose to spend their precious holiday time with us this year — thank you.
Thank you for trusting us with your riding adventure. Thank you for loving our horses like we do. Thank you for embracing our island, our unpredictable Hebridean weather and everything that makes Tràigh Mhòr so special.
Most of all, thank you for becoming part of our story.
When we look back at these photographs, we don’t just see riding holidays.
We appreciate friendships.
We see courage.
We loved laughter.
We witnessed horses that stole hearts.
We were there for the moments that mattered.
We see memories that will last a lifetime.
