Always worth having a mini session just getting used to the crates in the van.

It'll be weeks before Hazel joins in on a group walk and won't be in the van until then.

By giving her 5 minutes here and there in the crate it really pays off later when we're traveling a little.

Anyway she loved it but she's crate trained at home so I had high hopes 😍

Back to being busy again today after the summer lull.

We're always a little quiet whilst the kids are off as we temporarily lose all the teachers dogs and a lot of our customers are teachers!

I find it incredible that some dog walkers charge a retainer fee to keep a space over the summer hols. We don't, never have and never will.

It's been hot all summer and a lot of the walk durations have had to be adjusted to sensible levels.

Today is EXCEPTIONALLY HOT 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵

Everyone on these very hot days is given an option to cancel. It's really not a problem if you want to do that.

Those dogs that have to get out (i.e. no one is home) will be on a very short walk. Just 10 mins in most cases, long enough for a comfort break then back to the safety of home.

It would appear that we have a new friend at Coastal Dog Walkers HQ 😁. There's no name on his collar so we have nicknamed him Waffles, he's really friendly and pops along every morning, meowing at the window until we come out and give him a stroke 🤣.
