🐾 A perfect example of working dogs vs lap dogs yesterday! 🐾

We had four very different opinions about the weather at the paddock... 🌧️😂

Two working breeds spent the entire session charging around the field in the pouring rain, completely unfazed and having the time of their lives. Mud? Rain? Wind? The more miserable the weather, the happier they seemed!

Meanwhile, two others made a beeline straight for our shelter and during the showers were happy watching the chaos from the comfort of a dry spot. Their expressions said:
"We're here for a good time, not a wet time." ☔

It's always fascinating to see those breed instincts shine through. Some dogs were bred to work outdoors in all conditions, while others were bred to be the perfect companions and would much rather stay warm and cosy!

Of course, every dog is different, but yesterday's dogs (and adults!) couldn't have demonstrated the difference any better if they'd tried! 😆🐕🐕

Stan was not impressed with the rain but loved his sheltered spot.

Our paddock session dogs had a great time, and our daycare dogs rounded off their day with paddock play, plenty of space to run, and explore before heading home.
With no kennels, no stress, lots of exercise, mental stimulation, social interaction, and individual care, we aim to make every dog's day as enjoyable as possible.

Hi everyone! 👋 It's me, Buddy, reporting on the BEST week ever with Betsy! ❤️
What a holiday it's been, I have ...
💦 Swam in the weir to cool off
🐕 Enjoyed lots of paddock sessions where I could run, sniff and explore
🍦 Got treated to a pup cup
🦴 Chose my very own treats during a trip to the garden centre
🐟 Was mesmerized by the fish
🪿 Watched the geese. I was dying to swim with them, but I was a good boy!
🚶‍♂️ Enjoyed both solo adventures and fun group walks with my friends Robin & Raven
🌳 Played in the garden until I was ready for a nap
😴 Had so many beds to choose from
🏊‍♂️ Splashed around in the paddling pool
🫧 Chased bubbles
📸 Took part in approximately 7,432 photo shoots... I think I'm ready for my modelling contract now
🎂 And the biggest highlight of all... I celebrated my birthday! 🎉 Betsy spoiled me with the most amazing doggy birthday cake that she made especially for me, and I felt like the luckiest pup in the world.
I've had cuddles, adventures, treats, new experiences, lots of friends and so much fun.
Thank you, Betsy, for making my stay so special. ❤️
Now if you'll excuse me, I need a very long nap to recover from all that fun... 💤🐾
