Staying nice and cool at Murph’s Turf ☀️💦

Wilson was brave enough to join Tara in the paddling pool today 💪🏻 We're making progress... slowly but surely 😂

The frozen ice cream toy was also a big hit, although poor Wilson seemed convinced it was actually edible and attempted to eat it on multiple occasions 😆🍦

We took the gang out early this morning to avoid the midday heat, and once again they all coped brilliantly 👏🏻 There was a little bit of running, a lot of lounging in the shade, and plenty of opportunities to cool down.

With a few dogs missing today, we were able to bring Tara and Teddy along too 🐾 Paddy was absolutely determined that he and Teddy were going to become best friends by the end of the session. Unfortunately for Paddy, Teddy is a bit of an old grump 🤣 But that certainly didn't stop him trying! No fear in that boy — love you Pads ❤️

The heat may have got to Cherry slightly today though 😂 During a play session with Narla, she got a little too enthusiastic and somehow managed to fall right on top of her 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 It was very funny to watch, and proof that nothing will ever stop Cherry from being her wonderfully chaotic self 😜🐾

It's going to be a scorcher of a week ☀️🥵

Good job we've invested in a massive paddling pool 😂💦

At the moment, Tara is the only one fully embracing it — the challenge is actually getting her back out! 🤣 The rest of the gang are still a little unsure, but we're working on them. By the end of the week, I want a photo of every dog in that pool 👌🏻 Maybe even one of myself at this rate 🫠

Everything is still going ahead as normal at Murph's Turf. We've swapped a few walks for drop-ins where needed, but otherwise it's business as usual 🐾

We'll be taking every precaution possible — plenty of water, lots of shade, regular rest breaks, and keeping a very close eye on all the dogs throughout the day ⚠️ If the water guns need to make an appearance, then so be it 🔫😂

The gang did brilliantly at the field today 👏🏻 Although Elmo may have let his Dog of the Week title go to his head a little bit... acting like a proper bruiser today! 😅 He quickly learnt that making friends isn't quite so easy when you're charging around like a lunatic 🫣

Me and Kim may well melt by the end of the week, but we'll be making sure the dogs stay cool, safe, and happy every step of the way 🫶🏻☀️🐾

Today we welcomed Sully 🐾

He's not a full time doggo as he's just getting some socialisation in before he stays with us next year 🥹

Narla definitely was definitely intrigued... mostly because he looks like a slightly plumper version of Cherry 😂

Paddy and Ronnie have become besties ❤️ which is lovely as Paddy struggles with friendships 😔

We had a few chases that turned a little aggro so not everything went as smoothly as we hoped today but I'm still really proud of everyone for getting along (for the most part 🤣)

I also thought holding treats in my hand whilst I got the dogs giddy was a good idea and would make for good content... 😅 I was nearly killed. A Bernese Montain Dog jumping up at you whilst a thousand other dogs are surrounding you is honestly quite daunting 😬 lesson learnt I think. Unless all the doggies sit patiently like Cherry and Chester 🥹

Got a very busy weekend ahead! However, I'm still looking forward to getting some rest 😴 (and god, is it needed! I'm shattered - so shattered that I overslept and wasn't able to take Narla in this morning... 🫣)

Ahhh, what a beautiful session ❤️🐾

Everyone was playing so nicely together today, and it was just one of those sessions that leaves you feeling incredibly grateful 🥹

Sadie was absolutely wild, Narla spent most of her time looking for a neck to nibble, closely followed by Cherry 🫣 Wilson was much less of a bully today (although Sadie might have a different opinion 😂), and Monty seemed convinced he was actually a Rottweiler.

The biggest win of the day, though, was Lola ❤️ She was so much less overstimulated and handled herself brilliantly. No aggro, no drama — just a happy girl wanting to play with her friends. I'm so, so proud of her 🥹

Honestly, watching a whole group of dogs sprint after a ball together makes my heart swell every single time. Seeing so many happy, confident dogs having the best time is exactly why I do what I do ❤️

And this is only a tiny glimpse of Murph’s Turf. Alongside the group walks, we've got drop-ins, daycare, boarding, and so much more going on behind the scenes 🐾

Unfortunately Instagram only lets me post 20 photos... which is probably for the best because otherwise I'd be posting absolutely everything 🫣🤣

So proud of everything we're building and every dog that's part of it ❤️

Some sad news and some good news from Murph’s Turf 🐾

Firstly, we're saying goodbye to Freddie and Ralph for a little while 😢 We're hoping it's only for a couple of months and that we'll see them back again soon!

These two have been such a huge part of Murph’s Turf from the very beginning. In fact, they were the very first dogs to join me at the secure fields, so this one definitely hits a little harder than it probably should 🥹 We'll miss you boys, but we know it's not goodbye forever. See you soon, my little poodles 🐩❤️

Now for the good news... we've welcomed Elmo! 🥰

Honestly, I'm so happy to have him on board. He's full of personality, full of energy, and made friends almost instantly. Me and Kim are already completely smitten 😍

Well done, Elmo — you've definitely brightened up our day and slotted into the group so naturally 🐾

At the moment, we're only meant to have him for 7 days while his owners are on holiday, but there has been some talk of making it a more regular thing... so fingers crossed! 🤞🏻❤️

As for today's photos... let's just say capturing good pictures wasn't easy 😂 Manners seemed to go out the window for most of the session, which is why you'll spot plenty of evidence of Kim stepping in to help 😅📸

We also had a slightly grumpy Perdy and a cheeky Cherry keeping us on our toes, but overall it was a very energetic, fun-filled Wednesday with the gang 🫶🏻🐾

Monday with the Murph's Turf gang 🐾

Today's events included:

Running to the balls before the hoggers got hold
Trying to keep the treat monsters out of our pockets... and failing
Encouraging Bennie to come play by screaming his name at the top of our lungs from across the field (it worked!)
Telling Paddy to get off of Chucks back end every two minutes
Pleading with Cherry to stop barking
Speaking to Narla in a way to make her feel invincible 💪🏻

A good day all in all! Very pleased with everyone's behaviour 😄

Happy doggies all round 🐶

My heart is so full 🐾

I've come home to where I belong ❤️

I've been welcomed back with so much love, I could honestly tear up!

And wow, 15 dogs in a session is a accomplishment and half!

Also, a huge welcome to black retriever Ronnie. It was his first time at the session and he seriously loved it, I am so pleased!

Thank you so so much to everyone who puts there trust into both me and Kim to look after your dogs! It truly means the world 🥰

I can't put into words how happy I am, so please just enjoy the content 😍

What does a Friday at Murph’s Turf look like? 🤔🐾

Today was definitely chase day, and here at Murph’s Turf we love nothing more than a good game of chase — especially when we've got so many speedy pups in the group! 🏃‍♂️💨

We also welcomed ad-hoc girls Daisy and Summer to the gang 🌼❤️ Poor girls were a little overwhelmed at first with all the noise, excitement, and general madness, but by the end of the session they were looking so much more relaxed 😌 It just goes to show that some dogs need a little time to find their feet.

And can you believe Jester used to be exactly the same? If anything, he was even more nervous! Now he's practically the ring leader of the group 🫣🤣

It was such a lovely session all round.

We also trialled a solo walk with Daisy’s brother, Ronnie 🐾 He's a strong lad, but a very good boy 🧡 The exciting news is he'll be joining the Murph’s Turf group sessions from next week too! 😁 Let's see what he makes of the gang...

And that's me done for a few days! ✈️☀️

I'm off to Zante on Sunday and back on Thursday. I'm going to miss the gang so much, but this break is definitely needed. The amazing Kim will be holding the fort while I'm away, and I'll be back with the dogs next Friday 🫶🏻
