🧑🀍 Female - Approx. 2 years old

Hope is looking for a loving, rabbit-savvy home with a compatible bunny companion, plenty of space and enrichment, and someone patient who will respect her boundaries. 🌿🐰

She isn’t a cuddly bunny and doesn’t enjoy being picked up or stroked. She needs a home where she can build a relationship on her own terms. ❀️

🀎🚨A Little Girl Who Needs Us🚨🀎

This beautiful little girl is coming into our care tomorrow, and she really does need us. πŸ₯Ί

She was originally rescued from a ridiculously small 2ft hutch after being advertised for free on Facebook, having likely never experienced any space beyond those four walls. The family who took her in wanted to help her, but sadly, despite their efforts, it has become clear that she needs more than they can provide.

She is incredibly fearful and territorial, particularly around her space and food, and can lunge at those trying to care for her. We don't believe this is who she truly is - we believe there is a frightened little rabbit underneath who needs time, patience and understanding.

At around 1 years old, she is arriving with us unspayed and unvaccinated, so there is a lot for us to do.

Before she can be bonded with a companion, she will also need to be spayed & vaccinated.

Getting her spayed and vaccinated will be our first priority. Her hormones may be contributing to her behaviour, but we won’t know until she’s spayed.

Can we raise the Β£160 she needs for her vaccination & spay? πŸ™ Every donation, no matter how small, will help give her the fresh start she deserves.

We'll be sharing more about this little girl once she has settled into rescue. For now, she needs a little bit of kindness, a safe place to land and a chance to start again. 🀎

From a 2ft hutch… to a second chance. 🐰🀎

Rabbits aren't children pets/toys and they certainly don't belong in school settings

As schools get ready to go back this week, we’re asking everyone to think twice before bringing rabbits into the classroom. 🐰

Rabbits might look like the perfect school pet, but a busy classroom can be a stressful and frightening environment for a prey animal. They need space, companionship, quiet places to hide, and plenty of time to settle into their surroundings.

Regular handling by different children can also be unsettling, and caring for a rabbit properly takes commitment every day, including weekends and school holidays.

There are so many wonderful ways for children to learn about rabbits without keeping one in the classroom.

This school year, help us and put rabbit welfare first. πŸ’œ

The little Princess Halo is officially all booked in for her spay next Wednesday 😭🀍

When did she grow up?!

The last 12.5 weeks have truly flown by. It feels like only yesterday this tiny little 7-week-old baby arrived with us, with her teefy problem and a whole lot of growing to do πŸ₯Ή

And now look at her… all grown up and ready for the next big step in her journey. πŸ₯ΉπŸ‘‘πŸ€

How has baby Halo got this big already?! 😭

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share that both of our precious little babies passed away during the night. 🀍

I was with them both throughout the night, but sadly missed the little white & brown one passing. Hand-rearing is incredibly difficult, and sadly it really does only ever seem to go one of two ways - you make it through and watch them grow, or despite everything you do, their tiny bodies just aren't strong enough.

While we had been making progress, I was always worrying knowing just how tiny and fragile they were. This is exactly why I kept saying we had to take it one day at a time. With hand-rearing, things can change so incredibly quickly, and what looks like a positive step one moment can change entirely the next.

When I found the little white & brown one, they had passed peacefully, warm and with a belly full of milk. The little brown bun was still with us at this point.
Sadly, just a short hour later, snuggled up into me, our little brown bun passed too. 🀍

I am heartbroken, but equally so grateful. Grateful for the 17 days I was lucky enough to care for them, to watch them grow, to see their little personalities develop and to give them everything I possibly could.

Seventeen days may not feel like long enough, but for two tiny little lives that had such a difficult start, I hope they knew nothing but warmth, safety and love. 🀍

Run free, beautiful babies. You were so loved 🀍

🌈 Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day 🌈

Today we take a moment to remember all the precious buns and piggies who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Not a day goes by where they aren’t in our hearts - each one leaving behind memories, love and pawprints that will never fade. πŸ’•

Over the past 6 years, we have sadly lost many beautiful souls, and I can remember every single one of them. Every name, every personality, every little quirk and every memory. They may no longer be here physically, but they will always be a part of our rescue story. 🌸

This year so far, we have sadly said and seen our forever goodbyes to Freddie, Luna, Poppy, Angus (guinea pig) and Crumble, as well as a previous buns who was rehomed, Demi & Candy. πŸ™πŸΌπŸ’”

Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day is about cherishing their memories, celebrating the happiness and love they brought into our lives, and remembering that although we had to say goodbye, we were lucky enough to have loved them. 🌈✨
