Saint - what a good boy he was out and about.
His lovely owners came to us to get help with his over-excitement, jumping up and pulling on lead.
This was his 3rd session and this time, we braved mingling with the public. Look at him! Isn't he a super lad?
We even managed some "look at the other dog" exercises without any excited high pitched squeaks. Well done! Bring on next week.

6 new sniffer teams tuning their noses into the United Canine Scent Sport way.
Teams Buddy, Mabel, Lucy, Murphy, Millie and Saskia were all doing a grand job starting with sniffing for a the familiar odour of food, then moving on to a toy retrieve and red Kong.
Proud of all teams!

This afternoon's 1:1 sessions were a breeze, working with Chase and Rocco and their mum Laura.
Chase tried his paw at tracking for the very first time today and did really well!
Rocco was here for the second time Scent Detection. It's so nice to see his confidence grow. We started imprinting on Kong today and he did ever so well, too.
Laura is an outstanding handler, giving both dogs the freedom to work things out - I am a very happy Instructor today :-)
Would you and your dog like to try activities like this, give us a shout!

Come with us on the Shopper Hopper Bus and get some Kong from the supermarket. Monday Scent Detection Teams Barry, Poppy, Brusi, Tripp, Sakura, Fuji, Bobbi and Nephi were searching a "Bus" and the isles of a "Supermarket". The dog food section got special attention of everyone, but most also liked the other food packaging offerings, the shoe and handbag department, the kids section and the hardware and travel isle.
Motivation was up and all dogs were searching super well!
Thanks again to Clare from K9 Snout n About for sharing the teaching and all your ideas.
Next week Monday class will be out and about searching a barn.

If you think your dog might enjoy this activity, register your interest for the next round of Beginner classes with us. 07935 056814 or [email protected]

Congratulations to 3 of our trailing Teams passing their UCS Mini League Assessments this Saturday:
Team Tilly ML 3 Rural 12, which is a 45min aged trail, 350m long with 5 changes of direction. Scent of the trail layer is taken from a novel item on the ground. We did this one double-blind which means only the trail layer knew where they went. Woohey, go Tilly!

Teams Khalie and Maple successfully passed their ML 1 Rural 4 level, which is a split trail with the trail layer and the decoy being hidden in 2 different directions. Trail was 100m long and one change of direction. Both poodles did their handlers proud and passed with flying colours. Well done, go girls!
