Jubilee Veterinary Centre is a veterinary specialist practice conveniently located on the outskirts of Newtownards. We are a well established practice having provided over 100 years of service to the people of the greater Ards area and beyond. We offer a wide range of first opinion and specialist services for companion animals, from cats and dogs to rabbits and guinea pigs, to exotics pets and more! We pride ourselves on investing in modern equipment, including a state of the art CT scanner, which enables us to provide a gold star service to you and your pets. We have a cattery on site which is managed by our team of registered veterinary nurses, so you can relax knowing your feline friend is in good hands while you are on holiday. We accept referrals from other veterinary surgeons and provide a rapid, efficient service for patients and their owners. We endeavor to maintain excellent communication with you in order to optimise the care of your pet. At Jubilee Veterinary Centre we provide first class service for all our visitors.

Halloween is coming and the next couple of weeks are set to be spooky 👻

Keep our top tips in mind to help keep your pets stress free this spooky season;

🎃 Keep your pets inside where possible
👻 Create a “safe space” such as a den under the kitchen table, or a crate covered with blankets
🎃 Keep a radio or TV on
👻 Don’t confine your pet to one room to avoid feeling trapped
🎃 Ensure your pets microchip details are up to date
👻 Make sure your home and garden are escape proof
🎃 Try calming meds available over the counter at your vets
👻 Close the curtains and blinds early
🎃 Keep sweets away from pets

If your pet has a more severe reaction to fireworks then please contact us to make an appointment to see one of our vets to discuss prescription options.

Lynn joined the practice on this day way back in 2007 and has been working hard to help you and your pets ever since 😊

⭐️ Exotics Clinics ⭐️

Our Exotics Vet, Dr Georgia Fermor, is on annual leave for two weeks.

For our registered clients: Our team of small animal vets can provide emergency care for your exotic pets in her absence.

If you are not registered already with us: We recommend contacting your nearest clinic for emergency care until Georgia’s return.

We are also very happy to treat small furries such as guinea pigs, rabbits, rats and hamsters in Georgia’s absence 😊

⭐️ Meet Georgie! ⭐️

Gorgeous girl Georgie is a Newfoundland puppy who has been coming in to see Nurse Katie for weight clinics recently.

Georgie is growing at a lovely, steady weight which is really important for all pups, but especially large and giant breeds!

We will see her again soon for another weigh in 🥰

⭐️ Meet Rosie! ⭐️

This is Rosie the lovely hognose snake who came to us struggling to lay 6 eggs 🥺

Vet Georgia surgically removed the eggs and spayed her, and are pleased to say she is doing really well!

Vet Georgia runs exotics clinics 3 times a week here at the practice, to book in please contact us on 02891812226 where reception can guide you through the booking process 😊
