🦚 Meet chip!

Here at Hafren we treat all creatures great and small, Chip came in with a swollen foot and our vet Anna examined him only to find he had an abscess on his foot. Chip was a very good boy for us and was easily treated, and he is now on his way home for a well deserved rest

🐔 Red Mites Love Warm Weather – Is Your Flock Protected? ☀️
As temperatures rise, red mites become much more active, making spring and summer the peak time for infestations. These tiny pests hide in cracks and crevices during the day and come out at night to feed on your hens.

Signs of red mites can include:
🔴 Pale combs and wattles
🔴 Reluctance to go into the coop at night
🔴 Reduced egg laying
🔴 Restlessness and irritation
🔴 Tiny grey or red mites around perches and nest boxes
