🌟 BUTTERCUP'S BIG SCHOOL DAY! 🌟

This morning Buttercup the Newfoundland Superpower Dog put on her green cape with the paw print and green goggles, packed her school backpack with Science and Reading books, and caught the bus. Today was her big school day!

When she arrived at Maplewood Elementary, the gates burst open. "HOORAY!! YAY BUTTERCUP!" Ms. Rivera and all the children were cheering, waving, jumping with joy. Everyone belongs here and everyone was SO excited to see her.

Inside, it was Circle Time. Buttercup lay calmly on the alphabet rug while the teacher asked, "How Are You Feeling Today? Happy? Sad? Worried?" Buttercup showed the class that it's safe and kind to talk about feelings. Be Kind, We Listen, We Care.

At break time, the playground was busy with bubbles and slides. Buttercup found the Quiet Break Zone - Sensory Friendly - and sat with a little girl who needed a quiet moment, paw in hand. "You're Safe Here." That's sensory support in action.

Then it was Reading Time in the library! A boy read his favourite dog story to Buttercup while his friends listened. No rushing, no judging, just a fluffy listener. Reading is so much more fun with a Superpower Dog beside you.

As the sun set over Maplewood Primary, everyone waved goodbye at the gates. "Thank You Buttercup! Love Stays! See You Next Week!" with a thank you card covered in green paw prints.

One dog. One school. One day full of kindness, calm, learning and friendship.

When someone is in an acute mental health crisis, standard advice usually points to the same options: call a helpline, text a number, or visit a clinic. But what happens when talking therapies and standard methods aren’t working?

🌊🐾 FLEXIBILITY IN RESCUE — THAT'S WHAT OUR DOGS GIVE US 🐾🌊

This is what adaptability looks like.

Our Newfoundland Water Rescue Dog towing our MERE Supplies Medical Pack secured on our inflatable Rescue Board.

Sometimes it's a casualty on the board with head secured in the support and strapped in. Sometimes, like here, it's critical medical kit, our Catastrophic Haemorrhage and Airway bag being delivered fast across water where boats and people can't get quickly.

Our dogs don't just tow people. They:
✅ Tow rescue boards with casualties to safety
✅ Deliver life-saving medical equipment to the point of need
✅ Provide stability and reassurance during casualty recovery
✅ Allow us to stabilise a casualty in the water before moving to shore

A 90kg Newfoundland can tow an adult for over a mile and will swim without question into conditions that stop everything else. That strength, combined with a board that can carry a casualty or kit, gives us a flexible, rapid-response system that "saves time and time saves lives".
