🐾✂️ And that’s a wrap before my holiday! ✂️🐾

A little last update of some of the gorgeous doggos who have been through the salon for their pampers recently! 🛁🐶🤍 As usual, I definitely haven’t managed to photograph everyone 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ but it’s been another few weeks full of fresh trims, fluffy pups, cuddles and plenty of toy-box raiding!

And with that… I am officially OFF! 🥳

I’ll be back in the salon on Tuesday 13th October, ready to get stuck back into pampering all your lovely pups — and then it’s full steam ahead towards the Christmas madness! 🎄 please if you’d like an appointment for before Christmas, get messaging as it’s already being booked up!🎅🏼 personally can’t believe I’m talking about Christmas appointments already😂🐾

While I’m away, I’ll be taking a proper break and spending some much-needed time with my family, so all messages, calls and enquiries will be replied to when I return on the 13th. If you do call while I’m away, please leave me a message or voicemail so I know to get back to you when I’m back. 📱🤍

🐾✂️ My remaining appointments before my last wee break of the year! ✂️🐾

I’ve popped all of my remaining September availability into the photo below to make things a bit easier! 🥰 There are still a good few appointments to choose from, including some later slots, but once they’re gone, they’re gone! 🐶🛁

After I finish at the end of September, I’ll be taking my last wee week/just over a week break for the year🥰 I’ll be off from 1st–12th October, and back in the salon on Tuesday 13th October, hopefully refreshed and ready for the busy run-up to Christmas! (How mad is that to say🫨)🤍

If your doggo is due their pamper before I go, just pop me a message and I’ll get you booked in. 🐾

Just a wee reminder that all bookings will now require a 50% deposit again to secure your appointment 😊🤍

And another little reminder — Christmas appointments are definitely something to start thinking about now! 🎅🏼🐶 I have a feeling December will sneak up on us before we know it! 😂❤️

🐾📸 Well… I’m officially terrible at this posting malarkey! 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Between actually grooming, cuddles, chatting away to the dogs like they can answer me, and letting them raid the toy box afterwards, remembering to take a photo seems to completely leave my brain. And when I do remember to take them, apparently I then forget to actually post them! 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Then add in an extremely busy home life and a 3-year-old wee riot keeping me on my toes the second I get home… I genuinely don’t get a minute! 😂😂🤍 By the time I remember I’ve got photos to post, we’re about three weeks down the line! 🤦🏼‍♀️ so sorry everyone😂

So here are some of the gorgeous doggos that have been in for their pampers recently, just adorable🤍
I just love them all, I’m a very lucky dog groomer✨

As always, they’ve all been little stars and there have been plenty of fresh trims, fluffy coats, wagging tails and general doggy chaos along the way. 🛁🐾

Maybe one day I’ll become one of those super organised groomers who photographs every dog and posts them the same day…

🐾 A little update before I head off on a week off! 🐾

The past few weeks in the salon have been full of the cutest pups 🐶🤍 From full grooms and bath & tidies to puppy grooms, desheds and lots of toy box adventures afterwards. As per, I’m useless at taking photos so not every gorgeous dog has had a wee photoshoot🥲

I’m now switching off for a little while 🏖️ I’ll be on holiday until the 18th, taking some well-deserved rest, spending time with my little family, and celebrating my birthday on Monday! 🎉🤍

I’ll try my best to keep the work phone off… but those of you who know me know that might be a challenge! 😂📵

A huge thank you to all my lovely customers for keeping me so busy and for trusting me with your gorgeous dogs. Whether you’ve been with me from the beginning or you’ve only recently found Snips & Clips, I’m so grateful for every single one of you. 💙

I’ll be back on the 18th with fully charged batteries (hopefully! 😂), ready for another few weeks of pampering your doggos. 🤩❤️

💛 A Little Heartfelt Post 💛

This isn’t a post I expected to be writing so soon after opening, but I feel it’s important.

In the last two weeks alone, I’ve lost nearly £300 through no-shows and last-minute cancellations where payment hasn’t been made, despite this being against my booking policy. To me, that isn’t a small amount of money at all. I’m a small business, so this is huge to me.

When an appointment is cancelled at short notice, it’s incredibly difficult—often impossible—to fill that slot, which means that time is simply lost.

My cancellation policy is there for a reason. As stated when booking, appointments cancelled within 48 hours are payable in full, as within that time frame, I can’t fill the space. It’s very rare I do.

As a small business that’s only recently opened, I have rent, bills, insurance, products and other overheads to pay before I even think about taking a wage. This business is how I provide for my little family and my animals, so every appointment genuinely matters.

I am a very understanding person, and I completely appreciate that emergencies happen and life can sometimes throw unexpected situations our way. I have been there also and have to rearrange appointments so I do get it. 100%. I will always do my best to be fair and understanding where I can. But when it comes to providing for my own little family and my animals, I also have to protect the business that allows me to do that. I hope you can understand why these policies are so important.

To every single one of my wonderful clients who turn up on time, support my little business, recommend me to others and understand why these policies exist—thank you. I appreciate you more than you’ll ever know. 🤍

I genuinely hate having to write posts like this because I’d much rather be sharing photos of your gorgeous dogs, but sometimes it’s important to explain why these policies are in place.

Thank you for understanding, and for helping me continue doing what I love every day. 🐾

Just a little heads up that I’ll be working as normal until the 10th, then I’ll be off on holiday from 10th–17th August, returning to the salon on 18th August. 🐶✂️🛁

If you need to get your dog booked in before I go away, please pop me a message as soon as you can! 🐾

While I’m away, I’ll be taking a proper break, so all messages and enquiries will be replied to when I’m back on the 18th. I’m actually going to try and turn my work phone off for a change… 😂😂 (Wish me luck!)

Availability is becoming very limited through August, but from the second week in September I have much more flexibility with days and times. 🥰

☀️🐾 The last couple of weeks at Snips & Clips 🐾☀️

Firstly… how lovely has this weather been?! 🌞 Although I think it’s safe to say we’ve all been melting a little! 😂

As much as I’ve loved the sunshine, it’s definitely not been ideal for our furry friends during the afternoons. Over the last couple of weeks I’ve made the decision to rearrange a few appointments because, for me, it’s always about what’s best for the dogs. 💛

The salon has been reaching temperatures of nearly 30°C, and I just wasn’t prepared to put the pups through that for the sake of a haircut. Morning appointments have been absolutely fine, but when the afternoon temperatures have been soaring, I wouldn’t want dogs walking on hot pavements, even if it’s only for a short trip to the salon. Their welfare will always come first 🥰🐾

A huge thank you to everyone who was happy to rearrange their appointments. Your understanding has honestly meant so much, and I’m so grateful for the kindness you’ve all shown. 🤍

Despite the heat, it’s been a brilliant couple of weeks! I’ve had many gorgeous dogs through the door, lots of happy wagging tails, fresh trims, fluffy blow dries, toy box raids and plenty of cuddles along the way as per usual🛁✂️🐶

Thank you all for your continued support and for trusting me with your gorgeous pups. I appreciate every single one of you, and I can’t wait to see you all over the next few weeks… hopefully with slightly cooler temperatures! 😂💛🐾

P.s yes I was in my element with beautiful Bonnie the Newfie in for a groom, if you know me, Newfies and GSD’s are my absolute faaaaaave dogs in the world😍

Another lovely week in the salon full of happy tails, fresh pampers and plenty of cuddles! 🛁✂️🤍

A special mention has to go to Rebel and Bow, who both came in for their very first puppy grooms! 🐶💛 They were absolute little superstars from start to finish. They took everything in their stride, were so well behaved, and honestly… I didn’t want either of them to go home because they were just too cute! 🥹 😍

It really is so rewarding watching puppies gain confidence during their first visit and helping make grooming a positive experience from day one. 🤞🏼

To all of the gorgeous dogs that visited last week, thank you for being such brilliant little clients (and to your lovely owners too!). I can’t wait to welcome them all back for their next pamper. 🐾💕

☀️🐾 What a week it’s been! 🐾☀️

It’s safe to say the heat has been something else this week! 🥵

I made the decision to move a few appointments around because, honestly, I just wasn’t prepared to put the doggos through it. A haircut can always wait a few days, but their comfort and wellbeing always come first. 💛

The pavements have been far too hot for their little paws, and even the short walk to and from the salon would have been uncomfortable. Because of that, I decided to close the shop completely on Thursday, and everyone has been rearranged for next week instead.

The dogs that have been in this week in the morning to early afternoon have all been absolutely brilliant. We took things nice and steady, had plenty of breaks, lots of little wanders out the back for some fresh air, lots of water, and made sure nobody was rushed. Safe to say I was on the verge of melting myself by the end of each day though! 🤣🌡️

A huge thank you to all my lovely customers for being so understanding and flexible with rearranging appointments. I really do appreciate it.

Next week is going to be a busy one with all the reorganised appointments, and I can’t wait to see all your gorgeous pups! 🐶✂️🛁
