We want to help shape the future of cat grooming in the UK…and my researcher brain simply refuses to switch off 😹
There is still so much we don’t know about what UK cat owners actually want from professional grooming: what services they can access, what they value, what they can realistically afford, how often they would use them, and what might currently be stopping them from doing so.
And, as someone with a PhD, my instinct when asking questions like these is always the same: collect the data.
So PURR is launching a UK-wide Cat Grooming Survey to better understand the needs, experiences and expectations of cat owners across the country.
This will help us make smarter decisions as PURR grows, but we also want the research to be useful beyond our own business. Once the survey has closed and the responses have been analysed, we’ll make a summary of the findings publicly available so that the data can help inform the wider cat grooming and pet care industry too.
The survey is completely anonymous, with the option to leave your email address separately if you would like to enter our prize draw.

The survey is open to cat owners across the UK, whether you currently use a professional groomer, have used one in the past, or have never considered grooming your cat before.
And please share the survey far and wide. The more cat owners we hear from, across different locations, budgets and experiences, the more useful and representative the findings can be.
