Wrote down some thoughts today on the journey of grieving a dog you wish you had and accepting the one that you actually have in front of you.
It’s something we’ve had to do in the past and we’re doing it again.
Something I know so many of you and my clients have been through too, when dealing with challenging behavioural problems, when raising a dog wasn’t what you expected or perhaps regretting some things you might have done/not done in the past, like I did.
A process of so many hard feelings to process and of finding moments of joy during your dog’s short life, which you can cherish forever.
You are your dog’s everything, try and remember that 🫶🏻
Guilt and grief is hard. We’re all just doing our best x
