Shampooch

07/10/2026

A difficult announcement from me 🤍

After 7 incredible years, I’ve made the really difficult decision to close Shampooch as of today.

Some of you will know we’ve had a burst pipe at the salon this week, and unfortunately the repairs needed to get Shampooch back up and running are simply too costly for me to take on at present.

Also since recently becoming a mum of two, I’ve realised that I need to prioritise myself so that I can be present for my family. As hard as this decision is, I know it’s the right one for us in the long run.

If 19 year old Sophie, who took the risk of starting a business from scratch, could see what she has built, I know she would be incredibly proud. ❤️

For anyone looking for a new groomer, Mollie is accepting customers at her home salon, Soapy Paws, in Teignmouth. I know lots of your dogs are really happy and comfortable with her.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for 7 amazing years of loyalty, kindness and support. Shampooch will always hold such a special place in my heart. 🐾🤍

Hiya everyone!
Mollie has set up her own at-home grooming salon in Teignmouth and would really appreciate it if you could give her new page a follow! 🐶✂️

Don’t worry, she’ll still be grooming here at Shampooch as normal!🫶🏼

She’ll be taking appointments at her new salon from next week on evenings and weekends, so if you’re local to Teignmouth, go and give her page a follow and share the love!

Good luck Mollie! 🤍

Hiya everyone, I’ve officially hung up my scissors and clippers and started my maternity leave! ✂️🐾

I’m honestly so overwhelmed by all the lovely gifts, cards and tips I’ve been given for both me and baby. I feel so, so lucky to have the amazing customers that I do - your kindness and support means so much!!

A huge thank you to Mollie for continuing to do her fab grooms and keeping everything running whilst I’m not physically in the salon. I couldn’t be happier knowing my lovely clients are in such good hands! 🐶✂️

Now it’s time to put my feet up (as much as you can with a stubborn toddler!) and enjoy these final few weeks as a family of 5!

Baby Gibson we’re ready for you 🫶🏼

A little update from us… 🐶 ☀️
Firstly, thank you so much for bearing with us while we’ve had to rearrange some appointments because of the hot weather. We know it’s inconvenient, and we really appreciate your understanding.

Your dogs’ welfare will always come first. We’d much rather rearrange an appointment than risk a dog being uncomfortable or, even worse, suffering from heatstroke.
Their safety is our top priority.

We’re also incredibly grateful to say that we’re now fully booked until mid October.
If you know you can’t make your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the space to another dog who’s on our waiting list.

Finally, a huge thank you for keeping Shampooch so busy and supporting my little business. I’ve now only got a few weeks left before I finish for maternity leave to welcome Baby Gibson #2! ❤️
We can’t wait for this next chapter, and we appreciate all your support while the lovely Mollie keeps every pooch looking and feeling their best.

Thank you all so much! 🐾
