Stormzyā€™s first combined training jumping the 80&90. 2 sweet tests, couple of poles resulting in a learning day! Probably jumped the best yet despite the poles. 90s are starting to feel super easy now- just got to master those clear roundsšŸ’ŖšŸ½

P.s. Donā€™t get your bestie to call your test because sheā€™ll call it wrong and youā€™ll do half of your test hysterically laughing together- not sure the judge approvedšŸ˜‚

A very excitable round from Stormzy at Bicton. I knew after nearly being jumped off in the warm up that the showjumping was going to be interesting and funšŸ˜† So far every showjumping round has been totally different so itā€™s hard to know what to expect in the ring and how best to ride him without upsetting his flow. Regardless of the fence down, very pleased with how he jumped and I canā€™t be disappointed with his enthusiasm after allšŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļøšŸ˜‡

How did my little ex-racehorse come 3rd at his first BE event with a CLEAR XC when I didnā€™t think Iā€™d get over fence 9šŸ˜…

A fair 42.5 dressage with a big mistake in both canters, one down showjumping due to Stormzy enjoying himself way too much and a clear xc for a few time faults!! So proud of my little horse on a bold up to height track.

Fence 9ab was a log on a curving line to a ditch. A big ditch. Stormzy does NOT like ditches. I had prepared for him to say no thankyou and to be walking back with lots of pats having learnt a lot on the first part of the course, as in my mind I hadnā€™t prepped him enough. Turns out heā€™ll jump one when his bloods upšŸ„¹ I had hoped that if I rode positively enough weā€™d at least make it to the other side in some sort of style but didnā€™t expect him to just hop over itšŸ«£ There was 3 waters on course, Stormzy thinks thereā€™s crocodiles in water and even after lots of training through water he still likes to do a little dance before he goes in, but with a bit of encouragement he cautiously entered the first and then stormed through the next two. We had the most fun out there together, as you can tell by my smile the whole way around!!

Today Stormzy and I met for the first time after coming highly recommended. Iā€™m always very skeptical of equine treatments, especially for Stormzy as heā€™s quite delicate/complicated, but I was really impressed and I think secretly Stormzy was too!

Stormzys had some treatments previously where I felt like nothing was actually achieved and I didnā€™t see any improvements afterwards, even after several sessions. However, today as the session went on I could see a horse that started off uncomfortable (ears pinned, kicking out, tensing ect) becoming more comfortable and eventually enjoying the treatment. Iā€™ve been left with some new ideas on how to improve Stormzyā€™s ā€˜supplenessā€™ all over and hope to see a physical improvement in him as time goes on.

After watching Stormzy having the best time towards the end of the session, I am now booking a sports massage in for myself if anyone can recommend anyone for humansšŸ’†šŸ½ā€ā™€ļøšŸ§–ā€ā™€ļø

Quick trip to for a play before eventing again this weekend. Stormzy went super sweetly on the flat and then thought jumping was the most fun ever! Fingers crossed he stays relaxed this weekend and doesnā€™t turn into a kangaroo for the sjšŸ¦˜
