Happy International Rabbit Day! ๐Ÿฐ

Today we're celebrating our long-eared companions and reminding owners just how important good rabbit care is.

Rabbits thrive with the right diet, plenty of space to exercise, companionship and regular health checks to keep them happy and healthy.

Do you have a bunny at home? We'd love to see them! Share a photo in the comments below ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ”Interesting Case of the Month ๐Ÿ”Ž
Our interesting case this month is a weird one!
We used Medical-Grade Leeches to remove an Aural Haematoma.
Aural Haematomas are usually caused by dogs (and sometimes cats) constantly shaking their heads causing small vessels within the ear to rupture and blood gathers between the skin and the cartilage of the pinna.
Usually, we would put the patient under a general anaesthetic and manually drain the ear but by using the leeches, we only needed a light sedation to help the patient!

Conkers can cause vomiting and tummy upsets if eaten and may also present a choking hazard ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Dogs will often eat fallen fruits and with conker's this can cause gastrointestinal obstruction โ€“ which we want to avoid!

So, keep an EYE on them and give us a ring if you are concerned.
