Royal Cornwall Show – Saturday Closure

It is with great regret that following a thorough assessment of forecast weather conditions and their impact on the showground, the difficult decision has been taken to cancel the final day of the Royal Cornwall Show on Saturday.

The safety and wellbeing of our visitors, exhibitors, competitors, members, staff, volunteers and contractors has been central to this decision and remains our highest priority.

We recognise how disappointing this news will be for everyone involved, particularly those who had planned to attend, exhibit or compete, and we would like to thank all our stakeholders for their patience, understanding and support.

Further information for ticket holders, exhibitors, competitors, members and other stakeholders will be communicated as soon as possible through the Royal Cornwall Show’s official channels.

🩺 You may have spotted a new face out on visits this week — we’ve been hosting Nicola!

Nicola is a vet from Castle Farm Vets who made the llloooonnnngggg journey down to Cornwall to spend some time with us here Coast2Coast Farm Vets. Shame she missed the sunshine of last week☀️ but she’s certainly had a full week topped off with a visit to Royal Cornwall Show!

She’s been getting stuck into the differences in farming practices down here — from the types of animals kept, to the climate, to the range of diseases and challenges we see on farm. There’s always something new to learn when you travel the length of the country.

👬👭 As part of CVS Farm Vets, our teams work closely together to share knowledge, experience and expertise. Spending time in different practices helps us all understand how farm vet work varies from region to region — because no two farm practices are ever the same.

☺️It’s been great having Nicola with us, and we hope she enjoyed her time in Cornwall as much as we enjoyed having her along for the week.

It often goes by unnoticed, but did you know that today, 1st June, is World Milk Day? 🥛

So today we acknowledge and are thankful for the dairy industry and everyone involved in it.

🌟 Time to celebrate and congratulate yourselves…..well done and thank you to all the farmers 👩‍🌾 who are up early, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, the vets who help care for their needs 🩺, the drivers collecting the tanks 🚛 and of course, the cows 🐄🐄🐄🐄!!

🥳It’s a hard job that shouldn’t go unnoticed, so THANK YOU and let’s celebrate them all 🙌🏼
