The "on glass" thermometer is back in stock. The cool thing about this thermometer is that it shows the current temperature as well as the lowest and highest temp in the last 24 hours. This is extremely useful as you can have a better understanding of the min/max fluctuations.

Several other new items are also available, we love Hygger as a brand and have started using a lot of their products ourselves ❤

We will also have a lot of fish on the 30th of this month too. Please feel free to call or message us if you are looking for a specific type of fish as we might be able to sort it out for you! 😊

Will your fish get along?

Choosing new fish is exciting, but compatibility is about more than picking colours! Before adding to your aquarium, check:

Water requirements: Your fish need compatible temperature, pH and hardness ranges.

Adult size: That little fish in the shop may grow much bigger! Choose for its adult size and the space it will need.

Temperament: Territorial fish, fin-nippers and shy species don’t always make good neighbours.

Group size: Many shoaling fish need company from their own species to feel secure.

Space and shelter: Swimming room, plants and hiding places help fish settle and reduce conflict.

⚠Small tankmates: If a fish can fit another fish or shrimp into its mouth, there’s a risk it could become a meal!

“Community fish” doesn’t mean compatible with every fish or every aquarium.

Thinking of adding something new? Pop into Newport Pets with your tank size and a list or photos of your current fish. We’ll help you choose suitable tankmates.
