🎂🙈 OOPS… WE’RE A DAY LATE!

HAPPY BELATED 30TH BIRTHDAY, TREACLE!💚

We’re a day late, but we couldn’t let this VERY special birthday pass without a celebration! 🥳 Yesterday, our gorgeous Javan langur, Treacle, turned the big 3-0! 🎉🌿

And what a milestone! 💚 Back in 2024, Treacle made headlines when she was recognised as the oldest known Javan langur of her kind, now she’s officially hit 30, proving she’s a true langur legend! 👑🐒

Treacle has called Monkey Haven home since December 2012, and she’s been a much-loved member of our family ever since. 💚
She shares a special bond with fellow Javan langur Wheat, and we love seeing these two together! 🐒🌿

🌿 DID YOU KNOW? Javan langurs are expert leaf-eaters, with a specially adapted digestive system that helps them break down all those leafy greens! 🌱 Their species is classed as Vulnerable in the wild, making Treacle a very special ambassador for these fascinating primates.

So, we might have missed the big day itself (🙈 oops!), but a lady as special as Treacle deserves to be celebrated properly!

Happy 30th birthday, Treacle! 🎂💚 Here’s to plenty more leafy lunches, happy moments with Wheat and many more years of being our very own langur legend!

And let’s be honest… 30 is a BIG birthday. Surely that means the celebrations can last a little longer?! 😉🎉

Drop a big birthday wish for Treacle in the comments. 💚
Let’s show our girl just how loved she is!🐒

💚 WE NEED YOUR HELP! 💚🐒

We’ve been entered into the Benefact Group Movement for Good Animals & Wildlife Special Draw, where 10 lucky charities will each receive £5,000! 🎉

A £5,000 boost would make a HUGE difference to our rescued animals, helping towards their food, veterinary care, enrichment and everyday needs. 🐒🦉🦎💚

🗳️ PLEASE NOMINATE US! It only takes a minute:

👉 Follow the link below to the Movement for Good website

👉 Search for our charity name: The Leaf Foundation – 1153254

👉 Select us and submit your nomination! 💚

And please share this post! The more nominations we receive, the better our chance of winning! 🤞

⏰ Nominations are open for just 14 days! 💚

Thank you for supporting Monkey Haven and the animals who call it home. 🥰
