WARNING LONG POST ALERT ‼️
🏆 WE’VE BEEN SHORTLISTED!
Gosforth Bark is a finalist for Raw Store of the Year at the Pet Industry Federation Awards 2026 🐾
For a small, independent family business in Newcastle, this is a massive achievement — and we’re absolutely chuffed.
These awards recognise businesses across the UK pet industry, from independent shops to major manufacturers and national retailers. Previous winners and finalists include Nutriment, Herbal Dog Co and Pets at Home. To have Gosforth Bark recognised through the same awards means a huge amount.
With our category sponsored by Nutriment, a respected name in raw feeding and a brand we stock ourselves, it feels especially meaningful.
We’re also delighted to see friends across the industry receiving award nominations of their own — My Pet HQ, Northumbrian Dog Hotel, Nutriment, Mersey Raw, Durham Animal Feeds, Benyfit Natural and Wilder Pet Foods. Congratulations to you all! 👏
So much goes into running our shop: choosing the right products, helping customers, looking after our team and supporting local animal charities. Being shortlisted feels like recognition of all that hard work and care.
What makes this especially meaningful is that both the shortlist and the eventual winner are chosen by an independent panel of industry experts, rather than by public votes. To have the work we put into Gosforth Bark recognised in this way is already a huge achievement — and something we’re incredibly proud of. ❤️
Thank you to our team, our suppliers and every customer who chooses to support Gosforth Bark. You’ve all helped us get here.
