We’re looking for a reliable, hard-working and caring Cat Sitters to join our team, providing high-quality care for cats in the comfort of their own homes.

Due to the high demand of our services we are looking for more extraordinary cat persons to look after this rapidly growing business.

If you’re passionate about feline welfare and understand that every cat has a unique personality, we’d love to hear from you!

The Role

* Visiting cats in their own homes while their owners are away.
* Providing food, fresh water, litter tray cleaning and companionship.
* Administering medication confidently and safely, including oral medications and other prescribed treatments.
* Caring for cats of all temperaments, from shy and nervous to confident and energetic.
* Keeping owners updated with visit reports and photos.
* Maintaining high standards of professionalism and reliability.

What We’re Looking For

* A genuine love of cats and a calm, patient approach.
* Confidence handling cats with a wide range of personalities and behaviours.
* Experience administering medication to cats.
* Knowledgeable about cat food and litter types
* Trustworthy, dependable and able to work independently.
* Excellent attention to detail and good communication skills.
* A full driving licence and access to a reliable car

Availability
Applicants must be available to work during all school holidays, as these are our busiest periods. Flexibility during weekends and peak holiday seasons is essential.

Rates of Pay
Cat sitters are paid per cat sit from £7.50 per sit

We had some devastating news last night. We are beyond grief with the news of the beautiful Oscars passing. He died very suddenly with a suspected blood clot in his prime. He was only 8. Oscar was particularly close to Georgina as she was one of the first humans to hold him not long after he was born. When he was ready to leave his cat mum the lovely Michaela and Julian adopted him and we had regular sits with him and watched him grow into a beautiful boy. He was a very particular cat and only allowed special people to touch him. I unfortunately didn’t have the privilege but I didn’t take offence to that. However he adored his human mum and dad and Georgina. He loved her and I really believe he remembered her smell from being a tiny kitten and completely trusted her. It’s never easy when we hear news like this but this was was particularly hard as we know his story from start to finish. I feel privileged to be able to say that as there is not many of us know our cats history’s

Whilst records are being broken with the heat so is the demand for our services. I want everyone that gets in touch with us to experience our care. With that I’m constantly looking out for the right people to join our team of cat sitters. We are seeking extraordinary individuals with a high level of cat knowledge and experience.

This role requires the sitter to travel from home to home of the customer and spending up to 30 minutes with the cat(s) per session.

Our sessions and core hours are

Monday -Sunday 6.00-11.00 and 16.00-20.00

Time off is arranged through our app based system where you can book the days you require off.

You must have a clean criminal record and will be required to provide us with evidence of this in way of a DBS certificate which can be requested via the .Gov website.

Sitters are paid per visit between £7.50- 21.00 per visit depending on time and requirements

This is a self employed role and would suit applicants who can work flexibly during the core hours and days without any other commitments during these times.

Thankfully we are not experiencing the scorching conditions that are currently being felt south of Yorkshire. Our kitties seem to be coping remarkably well. Remember if you can create lots of cool shady areas, close curtains and windows to keep in the cool air and a small tip which I’m trying out tonight is that if you have a loft hatch, open it up. The warm air rises and might just allow some of that heat to escape into the loft area. 🌞
