THE DOG GROCER — TEMPORARY HOURS CHANGE

From next week (01/06/26) The Dog Grocer will be changing opening hours for a little while.

I’m heading in for a knee replacement, so while I recover and with staffing stretched across both the walking and grocer sides of the business, the shop will be CLOSED Sunday to Wednesday.

We’ll still be OPEN Thursday to Saturday,
10am–4pm on our busiest trading days.

Online orders will carry on as normal with nationwide delivery available.

Free local delivery will also be available in Heaton and the lads will be dropping orders off along their dog collection routes.

We’ll still be at all our usual events, markets, dog socials and pop-ups too! So nothing changes there.

This is the best move for me personally and for the business while I get myself sorted and back up to full speed.

Appreciate everyone’s understanding and support while I trade dog walks and shop life for rest and rehab.

Please advocate for your dogs this weekend, if it’s too hot for you, it’s WAY too hot for them. Keep them hydrated, skip the big walks and swap physical exercise for indoor enrichment and brain games.

Tomorrow we’re teaming up with .r.w_ncl for their Doggy Flash Day in support of and we’re seriously excited for this one.

No appointments. No bookings. Just rock up, line up, and get tatted. Doors open at **11am**.

Weather permitting, we’ll be popping up outside to keep things flowing and make the most of the day. If the weather has other plans, we’ll make adjustments to keep things comfortable and easy for everyone - - our priority is keeping the event as streamlined, safe, and organised as possible.

A quick note on dogs (because we love them and want this to run smoothly): due to health and safety regulations, dogs won’t be allowed inside the studio itself. They’re more than welcome in the waiting area, or can relax in one of our professional crates with a pup cup while you get your tattoo.

That said, please advocate for your dog. If your pup isn’t suited to busy environments, struggles with separation or wouldn’t be comfortable chilling in a crate for a short time, then please leave them at home. Come down, get tattooed and you can head away home with a bag of treats for them instead.

At the heart of this event is what we’re all about: supporting a great local cause, backing local businesses and bringing our community together. (All while raising money for our pals!)

And like all our events, if queuing isn’t your thing, or this one’s not for you, no worries at all. We’re just stoked to be doing something good and hope to see loads of you there.

Flashes are coming on our stories but limited due to us all grafting hard this week! But there’s gonna be 5 artists offering something different to all. Customs also available.
